Unbreakable
You didn’t break me; you didn’t even get close. Your words did not penetrate this soul, they didn’t even touch the surface. You didn't break me; you didn't even get close. Your hands felt like rocks hitting my body, the objects you threw at me, gave me scratches that made me bleed. Yet you didn't break me. I got up and dusted off the glass from your last tantrum that you tried to justify as fair, looked at you and smiled on the inside because I knew you could see I was still walking.

I rescued my human
When it comes to pet rescue, I feel it was my pets that rescued me. Growing up, we always had many dogs; my family and I raised many dogs. And growing up, I never really understood the difference between having a puppy or rescuing one. My little pack has been created with time. Every one of my pets has touched me in a way that I could not say to. They looked at me in a way that said helped me. My pack consists of 4 dogs and a cat. But it first started with two Chihuahuas Wako and Coco. These two little ones showed me what it means to have unconditional love. When I reached out for a helping hand, I found their paws. I learned to push myself to survive anything and found the motivation to be a better person.

Dear Diary
Dear Diary Driving through the familiar streets where I grew up. It's as if time has stopped, nothing has changed, the corner store is still running, Mr. Brown's gas station hasn't changed. Park where everybody would go, and hangout. This is a small town with one main road which is considered downtown. Here in Texas not everything is bigger, especially this town. I haven't been back to this town since I left for college many years ago, I built a life in New York City, graduated from NYU and never looked back. Graduating with a degree in journalism has always been my dream. Here I was again back to the town that I left so many years ago to say goodbye to the one person that I love the most, my grandmother.
