The 1950s Science Fiction Podcast: S2 E6
Introduction: Hello and welcome back to the podcast. I hope my show has been interesting to you so far, and you are a returning listener. Today's topic is Kenton of the Star Patrol. I discussed this pre-code comic hero who appeared in Stange Worlds comics in the early 50s; in episode 3, season 1 of the podcast. I will look at some of his stories and review each one. I recently downloaded a compilation of adventures in the digital comic museum; this will be my source material.

Book Review: The Final Progam by Michael Moorcock.
The Final Program is a science fiction adventure novel written by UK author Michael Moorcock. The book is the first in a series called the Jerry Cornelius quartet, after its protagonist, who works as a secret agent for hire. The story was published in 1968 by Avon Books in paperback. Then in the following year, a hardback edition was published in the UK. The novel is 168 pages long and is the only Michael Moorcock story to be made into a motion picture.

The 1950s Science Fiction Podcast: S2 E4
Introduction: Hello and welcome back to the 1950 Science Fiction Podcast. I hope you have been enjoying the latest season so far. The last podcast was very long, longer than I thought it would be. I hope I can make a shorter podcast and try not to go into so much detail. I did conduct a poll and asked the question should I do book reviews into two parts. I got only one response, and it was a yes for dividing a book review into two parts. I was also thinking of the same thing when I was creating the previous one. So I will consider that, and we will see what happens in the future.

The 1950s Science Fiction Podcast: S2 E3
Introduction: Hi, and welcome back to the 1950s Science Fiction Podcast. Today's presentation is a book review. This time I will discuss a short sci-fi novel by Philp K. Dick, The Man Who Japped. The Man Who Japed was one of the author's earliest works and is his second novel. The story, published by Ace Books in December 1956 and is 160 pages long. The story was part of an Ace double paperback that included a second novel in the back printed in a dos-à-dos binding. This type of printing consisted of two books bound together with the same spine but, each one was upside down from the other. The second novel was The Space Born by E.C. Tubb; I am not reviewing this novel right now.

The 1950s Science Fiction Podcast S2E2
Introduction Well, how did you like that simulated Atomic blast? Neat Huh? Did you know that for as little as three dollars, you could see and hear an Atomic Test conducted at a Nevada test site during the 50s? Well, it was common until the test ban treaty put a stop to it. But testing is not what I will be discussing in this episode of the show. Anyway, welcome back to my podcast. This time I will be looking at the fear of Atomic war and its implications. The belief that civilians could survive an attack via fallout shelters and a good civil defense plan.

The 1950s Science Fiction Podcast S2 E1
Hello everyone, I want to welcome you back to my podcast, it has been a long while since the last show, but now I am trying to get back into the swing of things. I have been busy with other projects and taking time to examine the progress of the show. In the interim, I have read two novels, one science fiction the other technothriller. For the first time, I got invited to another podcast. I did a mini-review of today's show topic as a guest contributor for the StarPodLog podcast. StarPodLog is all about the publication of fan magazine Starlog first published in the mid-70s and went out of print during the early 2000s. The podcast host, Nayr and Kayvura also discuss the Star Trek franchise and Gene Roddenberry in a similar podcast. You can follow them on StarPodLog on Twitter and StarPodLog and StarPodTrek Podcast - YouTube. I also want to mention science fiction author Erasmo Acosta, who has written a great sci-fi novel about the future. I did a book review of his book K3+ for my vocal media page, be sure to check it out. Now onto the show.

The 1950s Science Fiction Podcast: S1E6
Start of Transcript Introduction. Hello and once, again welcome to the 1950 Science Fiction Podcast. You are now listening to the sixth episode for season one. The show is also the first for the new year. I hope that everyone had a great holiday season and that you have stayed safe amid the pandemic. So far, my family and loved ones have not been affected as of yet. In this episode, I will discuss the pulp novels and magazines of interest from the 1950s. This is an area I have not had too much experience in, and I have wanting to explore it further. I know that I have read a few 1950s sci-fi novels over the years, but I can't remember what titles I have read.

The 1950s Science Fiction Podcast: S1E5
Start of Transcript: Introduction: Hello and welcome once again to the 1950s science fiction podcast, hosted by me, Edward Geman. I have been a longtime sci-fi fan of the 50s b-movies, like the one I discussed in my last podcast. However, in this episode of the show, I will turn my attention to sci-fi TV. But first, I want to thank everyone who has taken the time to listen to my show and, I hope that you have enjoyed the program so far. I now have over 300 plays since I first started in late August of this year. And it has been quite a year not only for me and the rest of the world as well. It is nearing the end of the year, and we are still in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic. The crisis, expected to continue in the following year, has in itself been like something out of sci-fi but not as intense. I hope that it will be over soon and we can get back to a normal state of affairs.
