Mundane Mondays
You lay your head down on your pillow after a nice, steamy shower. It's early, 9:30, you rarely go to bed so early. The bed is welcoming to your ever-tired body. It feels so good, contorting to your curves and joints. You close your eyes, sighing blissfully. This, you think, is exactly what I needed. You welcome the deathlike state of sleep.

Soundtrack of Life
Music has been a part of my life since before I was born. Not a single moment of my life has happened without music. The moments I feel most alive are at concerts. There's nothing better than feeling so bad, but being surrounded by a group of strangers being loud and sweaty screaming the lyrics to your favorite band. During those moments, everything else just fades away.

Tales of Dad
My dad was the best, most people say that about their dad, but it was true for mine. My dad passed away on March 26th, 2022. I was with my mom and grandma going to a plant nursery. On our way there, I saw a red-tailed hawk, I swear it winked at me, and then it felt like all of my insides had been taken away. I was hollow, there was nothing inside of me anymore. I was empty.

Taste of Blood
Warm, metallic-tasting liquid slid down his throat as he dropped the body to the ground. He didn't kill the dark-haired man, but he was close. It had been so long since he had a real drink. He wiped his mouth with the back of his hand and inspected it. There was a little blood on his hand from his mouth. He brought his hand back to his mouth and licked the blood off of it, savoring the sweet and salty flavor.
