God lives outside with the dogs
There is a little girl named Joan who sits up in an apricot tree, everyday after school. She is slightly overweight and self conscious, yet watching the birds flitter about her helps dissolves the looming awkwardness she feels towards herself. She looks up to a small sparrow close by, and asks, “Why don’t I fit in? And, why do they call me names and hurt me when I’ve done nothing?” Even though Joan has a few fresh bluish-red bruises on her tiny wrists and arms, the sparkle in the girl’s green eyes has not diminished. In her childlike innocence, she looks towards the sparrow for answers as the little bird hops a little closer to her on the overhanging branch. Joan feels comforted by the bird. She notices that the sparrow has a chocolate brown mask outlining his eyes, so she knows the young bird is a boy and decides to call him “Hope.”

"Ask the Animals"
Since antiquity, man has wanting to talk with animals. Yet if one says they are able to, as in hearing them, speaking with them, and getting pictures transferred like a motion picture, then one is called a freak, weirdo, liar, new ager or basic lunatic…

Let me Be' Kine
Since water is the driving force in Nature, the more I get older, the more I’m wanting to be more like her, water. I ask myself, how can I be a bit more fluid, bubbly, and dynamic in ALL my creative endeavors, educational outreach projects, and basically life itself… so I become like a wave moving across and through the waters. Haven't we all wanted that feeling of excitement in our lives, ocean waves waving? Or can we humans merely enjoy land (locked) living. Yet, alas... breathing and creating on the continents can be a blessing, if we are inspired to imagine, design, and actually do art. So, this is kin to being 'like a mermaid' version of land-living, exploring and forming art creations into activism, or riding the new movement wave of ARTIVISM!

Why Are We Here?
At some point in our lives we start questioning our role and purpose in life... hopefully with a child’s curiosity, taking us through our choices and adventures with a sense of wonder, excitement, and joy. Yet, there are times when we lose our way, situations flip upside down, our joy bubbles popped, and we begin forgetting our why.

The Legend of the Golden Dolphin
Now, before I get the chance to tell you about my secret world, I wanted to say that my methods are unconventional, in fact they've been called borderline crazy, absurd, and even insane from my colleagues in the scientific community, those afraid to imagine the endless possibilities of our ancient aquatic links, and especially the friends who know me. No wonder my husband got scared and left when I went babbling on well, maybe more like an obsession, about my parents’ notations and clues in their little black book… something that later revealed to me ”the legend of the golden dolphin.” If I had known then what I know now, would I have still made the same unpredictable choices? Possibly, except I would definitely NOT have married Steve. Yet if I didn’t marry Steven, then I wouldn’t have gone on my broken heart path, and you know. Sometimes in life, the stuff we think aren’t meant to happen, does and then eventually, treasures are thankfully revealed. All in all, this amazing adventure in the deep waters of Oceania I hold dear because of my parents’ little black book. That book that took me beneath the waves into uncovering a remarkable mystery. Yet, whoa… I’m getting way ahead of myself.
