Only the White Man Knows How to Grow Cotton
I’s wouldn’t a believed dis story either if I’s hadn’t lived through it myself. One minute I’s lyin’ between da tall corn stalks, a soft summer wind kissing my cheeks as da hot Mississippi sun beat down on da fields. Da next minute my world were turnt ‘round.

Costa Rica
Greatly influenced by the culture of Spain, having been one of their many conquered colonies, Costa Rica laid claim to its original indigenous heritage upon gaining full independence in 1821. While some might find it’s rustic infrastructure as struggling due to lack of connections with European suppliers, its beautiful uncontaminated natural wonders have thousands of visitors flocking to Costa Rica every year.

Where Is the War?
As I started to write this story, I searched my mind to try and find an embarrassing moment and I realized that in 52 years of life, I didn’t have one embarrassing moment. I asked my son, but he couldn’t think of an embarrassing moment for me. I asked my mom, but she couldn’t think of an embarrassing moment for me.

At What Age Should You Teach Your Child About Money?
At what age should you teach your child about money? The answer is the sooner the better. I started teaching my son about money and finance at the age of 5 and now he’s conscientious about shopping. When he was 4, I took him to the opening of Cars Land at Disney California Adventure Theme Park. It was Christmas time, so the park was all decked out in Disney holiday cheer. We were staying at the Hilton and I almost forgot that we needed to have cookies for Santa Claus.

Dear Daughter,
I’ve waited a long time for this moment and now you’re finally of dating age. I thought this talk would come easy but I’m finding it hard to set aside the little angel that first graced my life and envision the woman you are today. So many things I wished I’d taught you, showed you, given you the opportunity to experience instead of holding you back for fear of letting you go and being alone.

Inter-net: Match.Kong
A low thick fog drifted in as I approached the facility. In the distance, the mournful groan of a foghorn warned of the imminent danger ahead. I’d visited him many times in my career. But this time was going to be different. He could be difficult. He could be stubborn – making the job at hand no easy task.

From The Holiday to 90 Day Fiancé
What’s the perfect formula when deciding what to watch next? If you’re a viewer like me, you want programming that’s going to offer you an escape from your everyday dwelling, allow you to blurt out solutions to other people’s silly problems, and results in making your life seem put together and better off than others.

I Was Born to Be Your Mother
“You’re a great mom. You’re a great mom,” is what I hear a lot of people telling me now. But what makes it so? What’s the measure of success? And who set it? I’ve always believed that we really know who we are and what we’re meant to do from an early age. But for most of us, our true paths get blocked and clouded by the judgements of those closest to us. They say, “You’ll never be able to do that. There’s no money in that. Do you know how hard it is to get into that? Just get a job so you can pay your bills. Stop dreaming.”
