I am a tired, middle aged man. Artistic and sporty but broken and bruised.
Deeper than any I have seen my well starts to re-open
This void of hatred and guilt calls as it starts to gape
I find I want to dive in, help me.

Oh Swansea how I miss you, the beach, the park and the sea
I remember all the holidays running wild and free
Walking over the mountain that took us to the world
What are you doing to the world Lord, are you deliberately tearing it apart?
So many beautiful and creative minds, can’t everyone make a start?
Have you seen an elephant with a stripy trunk?
Have you ever seen a giraffe that looks like a skunk?
Have you ever seen a bird that flies upside down and
As I look I see a grey sky turning white
A cold wind blows bringing in the night
My breath starts to appear and blow for all to see
Hold my hand and take a chance, a leap of faith I ask
Together we shall walk the bridge and face our final task
The mighty sword I hold aloft and wave into the air
Coughing plumes of smoke my voyage is so loud
but standing on this pointed bow my ambitions are so proud
I am searching for the holy ones, who brought us all good will
Feeding time is always fun when you know what is to come
Sitting there with much salivation sucking on your thumb
Take a breath and swallow hard for salvation is your food
There is a girl with a flower in her hair
For other favours she has so little care
But my heart will always belong to her
A careless word and she turns away, running and in tears
He didn’t mean the things he said, he is scared, so full of fears
I can tell how old the child is by the buttons on his coat
The more he has done up than the older he is
He stands there holding the brus,h red eyes burning in the wind
I don’t have a name I have a number
Will my kids ever call me Dad?
Will I know when they call me?
Do they know I’m not that bad?
