Raising Boys
Nobody tells you how hard parenting actually is. There are no guidebooks or instruction manuals to help you make it through the good days, let alone the difficult days. The days where you feel like the weight of the world is on your shoulders. The days where you endure temper tantrums because you refused to plate up the dirt your kid has collected from the garden and now wants to eat for tea. The days where you forget to send your child into school in their PE kit, even though PE’s been on the same bloody day for the last year.

Philophobia
Although it doesn’t appear in medical dictionaries, philophobia is the term used to describe someone who is scared of being in or falling in love. It is a type of anticipatory anxiety, something in which can present itself before a situation and outcome has occurred. It is draining (trust me) and can last for months in the lead up to an event, in this case, love.

When will this stop?
For the past few days, I have felt so deeply upset and full of rage. An event had taken place and we saw a change in the news that graced our TV's and daily newspapers. COVID-19 had seemed to take a pause to provide updates on the disappearance of Sarah Everard.
