from which I will
This morning, I am going to catch two snails for observation experiments, from which I will discover the mystery of snails. So, I excitedly ran to my family's small garden and began the "snail catching operation." Hey! Snails are hard to find! It took me a long time to find it. However, "hard work pays off," and I finally found it in a wet corner. Well, I've found you, and I'm going to take you home and study you." So I hurriedly brought a transparent glass box, put the snail into it, and dropped a few drops of water in the glass box, insisted on wetting, and then took back to do the experiment. The first experiment I did was to see what the snails ate. I started by putting a few grains of rice, a vegetable leaf and some bread crumbs into a small box to see what the snail ate. I stared intently at the little snail, but the little snail did not move, and Li Li ignored me. I think it seems that the little snail probably does not like people watching it eat! I'll go watch TV first. After lunch, I went back to my research. I ran to the glass box and saw what was in it. The leaves were gone, and there were only rice and bread crumbs left, and a black grain around the snail, which was probably its excrement. Snails used to eat leaves, so I thought they would eat whatever they were given. Now comes the second experiment: why do snails leave marks when they walk? Thinking about it, I picked up the snail and looked at its bottom to understand its mystery. Who knows the snail suddenly shrank back. I said to myself: "Ah! You can't study it." So I ran to my father, who was reading the newspaper in the living room, and asked, "Dad, why does a snail leave a trail when it moves forward?" Dad replied: "In fact, ah snail abdomen has a kind of moving flesh foot, called gastrofoot, which is equivalent to the foot of the snail." When the snail moves, the abdomen and feet under the head can secrete mucus, reduce friction, conducive to its crawling. "We saw a shiny white line where the snail had crawled, which was actually a trace of dried mucus." "Oh, I did." 'I said happily. In fact, the world is full of surprises. If we look carefully and think carefully, we will always find the mystery.During my trip to Taiwan, I saw a lot of beautiful scenery. Among them, the unique scenery of Longpan Prairie is the most impressive. On our third day in Kenting, we drove south along the west coast to see the beauty of the Hengchun Peninsula. Rounding the southernmost tip of the island, we turn onto the east coast, which borders the Pacific Ocean. The guide told us that there was Longpan grassland ahead. Sure enough, not long after driving, the scenery in front of me became open, and a spectacular grassland came into view. The grassland stretches from the foot of the mountain to the coast, full of green waves rolling in the wind. Beyond the prairie lies the jagged cliffs of the reef and the turbulent Pacific Ocean. The guide told us that the setting wind was very strong here. As soon as the car pulled over, I couldn't wait to open the door. A strong wind blew my eyes, ears full of whistling wind. The setting wind is actually the monsoon of the Pacific Ocean, which is not only very strong, but also said to blow for half a year here. A few days before arriving in Kenting, we had already experienced the power of the setting wind, but the setting wind of the Longpan prairie still surprised me. In such a big wind, not only people can not stand on their feet, but also breathing is not smooth. We walked down the dirt road to the sea and the view was breathtaking. The closer I got to the shore, the stronger the wind, the more my clothes swelled. The vegetation is gradually thinning, and the ground is exposed to yellow sand. In the long months of strong winds, large tracts of grass were blown upright and clumps of bushes were blown to one side. They dig their roots deep into the ground, and some of the grass has grown taller than a man. The bushes were not flourishing here, but their branches were growing upward towards the sun. Although the environment is so harsh, the grass and trees here are still full of life. They have a strong will and are not knocked down by the powerful downwind. In fact, the same is true of people. When encountering difficulties and setbacks, if you are afraid, you can only face failure, but if you are strong enough like the plants on the prairie, you can overcome them. At this time, you will find that these difficulties, like setbacks and falling winds, are not as powerful as they seem.
