cool springs down my back give life to those around me my purpose is clear

what is a mountain to yet another mountain? i call it a friend.
life is a mountain i climb but i never reach the top we search for
thunder and lightning-- CRACK! i wince, though You'd never; they bow to Your strength.
Sanctuary come. light the path, for my weary eyes no longer see.
edifice of stone, i long to know Your secrets; a shame You can't speak.
a mountain's apex most beautiful to the eye senses blur to peace
i have kissed the sky atop the Rocky Mountains; gratefully in love.
skies of smoky gray, black bears and evergreen trees. good ole rocky top.
You will still be here, standing after time takes me, and leaves You in peace.
nothing but stillness quiet nights forged over years, 'til after we're gone.
storms rage against You unwavering, You stand tall; a grand silhouette.
