I chose
Yes I’d said yes, no ring, no plan just yes. My parents did not approve, I still had a year of school to finish, and this had not been part of my 5 year plan but I didn’t care. No one would understand but this is what I wanted. We would figure it out together and somehow I knew he would be there to take care of me no matter what.

What I do
To preemptively sum it up I love my job because of the flexibility, unique environment, and some amazing individuals. It is more complicated that obviously, like any position there are many elements that add to or subtract from the amount of satisfaction that each workday brings.

Painter's Dilemma
The paintbrush spreads the color of the sky in the shape of shimmering ripples. The added layer of white makes the ripples freeze in motion. The edges of the water are framed with the contrast of stilled snow. The trees blend into the snowy drifts as their true colors are hidden by each flake. The view above gives life to the mirror of watery images. The brush pauses as the artist allows the snow and ice to dry on the frozen scene. There is stillness and movement caught with the simple indents of the tool. The reality cannot be captured in perfect essence but a new picture is created from the eye of the painter. She adds each color and movement to make something so unique it’s never been seen before. This is the task of the artist. Each failure reminds us of how similar humans think to each other. Each success brings a greater struggle to create in the future. While there is no end to ideas, the innate desire to create grows dim in many hearts. The struggle is life changing but frightening, rewarding but time consuming. How easy to follow the acts of the past and place responsibility on another. The courage needed is strong enough to forge trails and break guidelines. Classes cannot provide such courage nor talent to make a creation worth the public eye. Tutors are not able to will the transfer of dedication and enlightenment. Desire is not enough to make an artist of an observer. One must trust, one must act, one must practice.

Time of Fall
Winter was a cold time, spring a time of hope, summer had been full of fun and adventure but now came fall. Bren gazed at the colors she had pulled aside for this next painting. The shades of brown, yellow, and orange were so playful and promising. Fall itself meant the coming of death and loss but she didn’t want to paint that. Staring at the empty canvas she pondered what else could shine through. The colors of the season had so much potential and she wanted to get it right. Bren went to the window, the trees still deep green and the sun shining bright. She closed her eyes and imagined the leaves losing their color and the sun sinking out of sight. This sight still showed how much is lost. Bren opening her eyes again and just let the colors of the scene in the window entertain her mind. The earth looked so full and bountiful. Green covered almost everything like a blanket. The flowers sprinkled the colors of the rainbow everywhere you looked. The deep brown of tree bark acted like a frame edge to the many sights to be seen.

Locked Out and Keyless
I never forget my keys and this time was no exception. The issue was that I remembered them after I closed the locked door behind me. The two and a half inches of whatever doors are made of kept me from being able to grab my keys that were-at most-three feet away from where I stool. Life was funny but at that moment it was down right hilarious.

8 Reasons You're A Karen
1. Requesting the Manager Probably the most common description regarding the karen-figure is related to requesting a superior. Whether it's about the drink they said they didn't order or that they have to wait longer for something that is rightfully theirs, they want the situation rectified because they are too important to be unsatisfied. No just won't cut it and they will tell you so. But just because you request the manager doesn't mean you're a karen. Right??? 😳

Paper Is My Canvas And Scissors Are My Instrument.
I don’t remember how it started. All I can recall is the feeling of satisfaction as I unfolded my creation into something people called beautiful. It was easy and I was praised for it so positive reinforcement drove me to develop the skill even further. Any shade of any size of paper could become a representation of the snowflakes that were as unique as the ones I shaped with scissors.

Why We Don't Trust Others or Ourselves
In a world where fabricated reality abounds and where we are surrounded by an endless supply of opinions, there are many places to look for answers. We may have questions about career opportunities, relationships, childcare, travel destinations, cooking tips, or how not to be bored on a Saturday night. All one has to do to find solutions is search online and see what hundreds or even thousands of people have to say about it.
