Cultural Sensitivity in Education
I want to open with a story but I want to tell it from two different perspectives. It's a normal Tuesday morning the bell rings and students are slowly trickling in for breakfast. One of the other teachers on duty groans " her favorite student" just arrived and she is already on 10. The student comes in and is aggravated but due to that being the child's normal temperament she goes unnoticed.

Betting on Me!
2010 through 2016 was a world wind for me. After losses and an emotional roller coaster of a “Situationship” my collegiate career could have won a Grammy! I had been in college for 6 years and even with a degree in Biology there wasn't really a market for me. Application after application after application I was completely worn out. I felt like giving up and finally an interview came in! It's not what I was interested in but it paid for me to go back to school until I figured out what I truly wanted to do. Dentistry was out of the picture after it took me so long to get out of undergrad yet here I was re-enrolling in another college course! I began working at the University Police department Summer 2016 and everyone is excited because this means more money! I try to find the excitement within but I just can’t but why not? Isn't this what you wanted? A good paying job! But still I wasn't fulfilled. I finally gave up my ex and I started focusing on myself. I have an idea to start a nonprofit which has become my speaking platform Be You: Be a part of your own rescue. I am still in Grad school and working full time but I don't see the purpose in working these long hours to pay bills at a house I am never at.
