Why The Mandalorian Had No Idea The Force Existed
As The Mandalorian heads into season 3, you might be wondering why Din Djarin is not familiar with the Jedi and the way of the Force. I mean who does not know about the Force, and that the Jedi are followers of the Force who use it to fight against the evil Sith Lord Darth Vader. It is interesting that a Star Wars film or series would have a character that is unaware of the Force and its powers in the time after Return of the Jedi. Well, let’s look at this for a moment to understand why Din Djarin might not have been aware of Grogu’s mysterious powers. After all, if it weren’t for Grogu and the Force, Din Djarin would not be alive. Din Djarin was pretty much doomed when he was trying to get the mudhorn’s egg in “Chapter 2: The Child.” If it were not for Grogu’s timely use of the Force, Djarin’s life would have ended back in the second episode of The Mandalorian Season 1.

The Doctor Strange You Probably Don't Know Much About
Back in 2016, Marvel unveiled their latest superhero movie in the form of Doctor Strange. Starring Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Stephen Strange, it took the Marvel Cinematic Universe on a new journey where the focus was on magic rather than superpowers. Although, you could argue the results were one and the same. Doctor Strange was well received and Cumberbatch’s portrayal of the titular hero proved to be very popular.

Morbius: Review Of The Vampire
Morbius arrives in theaters this Friday, April 1. With Moon Knight soaking up all the attention on Disney+, Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness not being out until May, and not having Thor: Love and Thunder trailer to mull over yet, Sony has decided to finally release their entry into what is being called the “Sony Cinematic Universe” (which started with Venom in 2018) after two sets of reshoots and at least three pushback dates. Morbius is a good movie for those who are entering into superhero movies but not for those who have watched Venom and Venom 2 or for anyone who has watched the Marvel Cinematic Universe. You will be confused, confounded, and feel a little ripped off. The problem with Morbius is that Sony appears to want to keep doing their own thing but the overlords at Marvel/Disney had other plans. This results in a jumbled and confusing story with great visuals but no substance.

Why 'Star Wars' Should Move Past Its Source Material
The story of Star Wars has always been the story of the Skywalker Saga. The adventures of Luke, Anakin, Leia, and the rest of the Skywalker clan. Most of the stories that come out, be it The Mandalorian, the Ahsoka series, or even the High Republic books in some cases are still very much connected either spiritually or directly to the main saga stories of Episodes 1-9. Many would say that the Saga is the source material of Star Wars. However, how long can this material be rested upon before the well runs dry? Should Star Wars move beyond its source material?

How 'The Batman' Sequel Could Introduce Mr. Freeze
*Spoilers for The Batman* Revenge is a dish best served cold. Over the last few weeks, The Batman, director and writer Matt Reeves' take on the Caped Crusader, has proven to be a smash hit. Critics, fans, and audiences alike seem to agree that this latest adaptation of the DC Comics character is a faithful yet fresh take on the classic hero. The film portrays a more grounded yet stylistic version of Gotham City and its Dark Knight, focusing on gothic noir and detective work, much like the earlier incarnations of the comics. With a serial killer Riddler and a younger Bruce Wayne, still struggling to solidify himself in the minds of his allies and enemies, this latest cinematic entry in the Batman franchise has effectively laid the ground work for a new series, filled with potential for future stories and characters.

'Star Wars' Reveals How Luke's Voice Was Achieved For 'The Book Of Boba Fett'
One of the biggest surprises with the newest entries in the "Mando-verse" has been the use of legacy characters, specifically Jedi Grand Master Luke Skywalker. The original protagonist of the Star Wars universe, Luke has undergone many changes from the Legends stories of his time post-Return of the Jedi, to the current cannon with his appearances in Mandalorian and Book of Boba Fett. Despite what you think about his canonical onscreen actions during the sequel trilogy and the Disney+ series, the CGI work done on Luke's face and the "voice acting" behind the character's return is a technological marvel.

Black Comic Book Creators At DC You Should Know
Cultural comic book icons like Green Lantern, Batman, and even Plastic Man were created by white writers in the 1930s and 1940s. However, the scope of inspiration and imagination in maintaining those heroes was expanded in large part by creators of color, without whose influence the DC Universe would be a far less fulfilling world to visit. While there are several comic book heroes from Trevor Von Eeden’s pioneering work on Black Lightning to Damian Scott’s impressive run on Batgirl, let’s home in on five specific black creators’ contributions to DC’s long history.

Mark Hamill Shares What His Favorite 'Star Wars' Movie Is
As with any cast member of a tentpole movie franchise or enduring series, one of the most common questions is “What’s your favorite?” As fans, we want to know because we wonder if they share the same opinion and have the same taste as us and if it’s for the same reasons. We also want to know if it differs from ours and why. I find it all fascinating. My son, for instance, loves the universally panned (by critics and Joe Public alike), and he claims, “anyone who says they don’t like it, doesn’t understand it.” So when Mark Hamill shares what his favorite Star Wars film is, we take note.

Chilling 'Rise Of Skywalker' Concept Art Shows Horrible Fate For Chewbacca
With the Rise of Skywalker, you either love it, or you hate it, no more, no less. Of course, there were a lot of behind the scenes production politics going on that resulted in the film being what it is. But that’s not why I write this article. We’re here because of a certain part of the behind-the-scenes process. A series of concept art that shows what might have happened to everyone’s favorite Wookie, Chewbacca. That’s right, we have concept art ready to show you, which should help shed some light on the subject of Episode IX.
