Crash Landed
Parents have endless bedtime stories they tell, molding behavior. The strongest motivator for younglings is “Tale of the Poison Eaters.” Far across the universe lay a planet, unvisited by travelers. Only bad children are sent to places the air is poisonous. None return from Earth.

NYE EMP; This is not a drill.
The outside world was unknown to her, but she could see a glimpse of it through the window in his room. Everyone knew that the world was due to be destroyed, there was no one who didn’t talk about it in hushed tones, or sarcastic humor. Americans joked about how they needed a reset, the Chinese countries battled for supremacy in a cold war, the islands wanted independence before their cultures were lost. Every single person has desires, every desire becomes dangerous when it comes to those geniuses that can manipulate those they please. All it took was one dictator taking the lead somewhere in the middle-east, one wise man to stand above everyone else and trample down those who stood adversely.

The Teddy Bear Light Burned Out.
You know it still has yet to quite sink in. How is it that one day I was talking with you like normal. We were laughing when you picked me up from school, we played cards and went on an ice cream date. Every happy moment we shared, the light of my life. How is it that suddenly the world is so much darker now…?

An Open Letter
Hello lovely! You don’t really know me… I must seem super creepy huh? I’m sorry! I didn’t mean to come on to strongly…. Should I try again? No? You want me to tell you what I want already? Okay. I’m here because you were having a really hard day! It’s going to be okay though! I wish I could give you a hug, but I’m kind of too far to reach. So please do me a favor. Close your eyes, take a deep breath; in for three and out for five, and wrap your arms around your shoulders and squeeze. That’s my hug from far away!

My adoptive dragon.
“It’s been sixteen years now. You have grown phenomenally; will you be rejoining the humans now? It is long since time for you to do so.” Although his mouth did not move, the telepathic means which Viotar spoke. Viotar is a gorgeous dragon, his smooth emerald green scales and snakey gray eyes were his most prominent features. For sixteen years this lord of the forest upon a mountain deep in Welsh territory has raised me as his own. He bestowed the name of Dara, in hopes that I would always persevere and never give up whether by his side or not.

A new type of Training
The sounds of clacking against the tracks was soothing, even though the rocking motion was sickening. As I stretched out the upholstered seat rubbed my cheek and I hummed appreciatively, it was so soft to the touch. I hadn’t felt anything this soft in a while since I was always at…. SCHOOL?! My eyes flew open and stung painfully at the overload of bright lights and colors. I should be sleeping in my dorm room right now… So how am I on a train?
