Memoir of The Last
“A…Noldorin elf?” Nash was more astonished by how the woman looked rather than what rare blood flowed through her veins. He had never seen a creature with such alluring, shimmering emerald eyes before––not to mention one of them looked cool to him with the scar over the blind eye. He was curious about the story about it. And how odd her ears were, indeed. Once he regained his state of mind, Nash forced himself to stop staring at her. “I never heard of that kind of elf before.”

Memoir of The Last
The boy felt warmth spreading from his digits to the tips of his toes. No, not just warmth. He was burning up, indisputably. His weak eyes opened and looked around to find himself in a bedroom in a house, but not his house. Hardly able to move, the boy pulled the thick quilt up to his nose and took a couple of sniffs. Everything around him was unfamiliar. Though, he couldn’t care less at this point. He felt like he’d be better off dead anyway if his kin would toss him aside. He shut his eyes, falling back into a deep sleep from the sound of harsh winds hitting the walls outside. Not soon after he fell asleep, he awakened again. But this time, a cool cloth was put on his forehead with liquid slipping down his temple, and a woman was sitting at the desk he hadn’t noticed before in the corner of the room––busy with something in front of her. Oddly, something made the woman turn around to check on the child. She smiled kindly at the sight of his open eyes, even if he was just blankly staring at her.

Memoir of The Last
Individuals live their lives separately from others in the land of Izria. It’s how everyone across the land chose to live, and with little conflict as possible. But even with the natural order of things, just like a predator or prey, these lives will clash eventually. A war would most likely break out if races like the Salamanders and Ice dragons were to co-exist in the same lands. So on their own, they build cities, villages, homes precisely for their kin. Not many would dare to bother the neighboring residences that surround theirs, for possible conflict hangs at the end of a thin thread. Though many species bare fang at the others with poison in their gaze, not all wish to be isolated from the rest. The Gnomes and Fairies, for example, get along quite well. They trade goods and gather once a year to celebrate their alliance with each other as they are both very gentle creatures, proving that mythical creatures of any race could get along. As result, their countries prosper in wealth, equality, and some even say good serendipity.
