I love to learn about people and create content that makes people happier <3
Settling down with your person is wonderfully fulfilling, but it takes hard work to make it strong and to keep it healthy. We all come to relationships with our emotional baggage (yes, even those of you who are lucky enough to marry the first person you dated seriously). Because we all bring our preconceived notions of marriage roles and expectations from our families of origin. We all have wounds and questions and doubts. And we all have habits.
We've all done it. You're watching a show on your preferred streaming network with your friend when suddenly one of the characters says something that is so completely "you." The remark is so spot on that your friend calls you out by name and gives you that look.
Dear 2021, I have never been one to love and embrace resolutions. I'm more of the, "Que sera, sera" type. Resolutions are hard work, after all. What if I don't succeed in my goals and grow discouraged? And didn't 2020 remind me how helpless I am when it comes to being in control? I even struggle to write this letter because what if, by telling everyone, I jinx it? It is much easier to succumb to the fear of failure than to dream of the possibilities.
Blonde hair is all the rage right now, and I'm loving all the variations people are rocking! Maybe I'm shallow, but my blonde hair is my pride and joy. If you're reading this, maybe it's yours too. I'm not a licensed stylist, but I frequent one, and I think my 10 years of bleaching my hair lends me to some experience. I pay a ridiculous amount to get it dyed regularly, it's my "treat-yo-self" thing. Though I adore them, I don't do fake nails or get massages because I like to keep my hair golden and it comes with a cost! Next to red, it's the most high-maintenance hair color and must be treated with great care.
Christmas is only THREE days away! To celebrate, I've published yet another Christmas-themed, Enneagram article. Besides, we could all use a little extra holiday cheer to ring out 2020. If you want to binge-read all the other articles I've written before the holiday season is over, check them out here.
Personality tests can often bring out the insecurities in people and have a negative connotation, but they don't have to. I love that they beautify our differences. We need all types of people to make the world go 'round. That's why I write so many fun blogs about enneagram numbers. If you're an enneafan, you can read about why I'm thankful for you, what Christmas gift I might buy you, and which holidates I think you'd enjoy here. If you enjoy the read, you can always spread the love by sharing it with your other enneafan friends. But that's enough shameless plugging... Here is what you most likely love most about Christmas!
On November 26th this year, you'll likely be seated around a table (with whichever number of people is appropriate ATM) feasting on comfort foods with your family. Family members who, I need not remind you, have various personality types. It can be catastrophic at times and it can be beautiful. As you pass around the stuffing, remember: every enneagram number has their unique strengths. I am choosing to be appreciative of the differences. In honor of Thanksgiving, here is why I am thankful for each personality!
I live in Columbus, Ohio, which is actually ranked the #3 fashion city in the U.S... Surprising, right? Turns out we are a great location for textile businesses. Because of our centrality, Cbus can ship quickly to a lot of big cities! Many major headquarters reside here and I'm not ashamed to name-drop a few such as: Abercrombie and Fitch, Victoria's Secret, and Express. I like to think that for this reason I'm pretty fashionable, and fashion dictates that the 90's are BACK!
