You're Not Alone
Some say that mental health isn't really a problem to be concerned about but, sadly those people are wrong. Everyone deals with mental illnesses in one form or another, such as depression or PTSD. Those who have mental health problem should never be alone and this is my story about someone who have mental health struggles.

The Battle With Mental Illness
I have no idea on what is with me and being able to talk to my friends and family who have depression. Is it because of my kind hearted nature or the fact that I too suffer from depression? Let me start this by saying that depression is hard to deal with. I have been battling depression for four years since my dad passed away when I was almost 18 years old. I didn't know how bad my depression was until I went to see my therapist after my dad passed away. I'm still battling my depression because it has somewhat gotten worse over time with having so many deaths in the family happen. Between the time my dad passed away and now, I lost so far six people in my family.

My Love for Baking
My love for baking started when I was a little girl. When I was growing up all my birthday cakes were homemade by my mom. As I got older I tried my luck at making my own birthday cakes for my birthday. Some cakes that I made I had help and some cakes that I made turned out good. During my last year of high school, I helped my mom bake a lot of delicious goodies for a school bake sale for project graduation at my school. I still love to bake cakes. cupcakes, cookies, and other sweet treats because it's fun and I need to practice my baking skills.

Relationships and PTSD
When you start a relationship, you need to remember to take things slow. When dating, you have to take things slow in order to make things work out right. Being in a relationship with someone means you get to spend time with each other, go on dates, be there for each other, and most importantly say I love you whenever you can. Being in a relationship is not always about sex but about sharing a bond that two people who are meant to be together can share.

My Love and Struggles
My love for my boyfriend is like no other love. The love I have for him is like you're floating on air. When I first met my boyfriend, it was like time just stopped and I was feeling like I knew him from somewhere before. My boyfriend and I went to high school together and became friends before we started a relationship. I will admit that we had our ups and downs during our relationship but we make it work. Right now my boyfriend and I are trying to figure out what we're going to do financially if I got pregnant again. My boyfriend has been stressing out about a lot of things but I try my best to be there for him because that's how much I love him.
