My friend Duke is a huge bruiser who's built like a refrigerator, as he should be. You see, Duke is a veteran. He's a fearless guy who has seen his fair share of battle during his time in the Army, and truth be told, I have never actually seen him look the least bit shaken.
Anyone who has been a pothead for a couple of years knows at least one person who ended up being cuffed for dealing cannabis. Sometimes, the penalties they pay are small. Other times, you could end up hearing about a close friend who just got raided by the FBI for housing a pound of weed.
Most mechanics learned their trade through mechanic schools and trade schools like ITT Tech. It's a good thing, too. No one wants to have a mechanic that has little to no formal training on cars, right?
There's a really weird phenomenon that I've noticed among mainstream musicians. After reaching a certain level of fame, they tend to become pretty terrible during live performances—often due to burnout, drug addiction, or sheer egotism.
Joining the military is a decision that's both noble and risky. It's one that can lead to excellent benefits and prestige, but it also can lead to an early death. It's not a career path for everyone, that's for sure.
