Money is attractive
Have you ever heard someone refer to their face as their “Money Maker”? As funny as it might sound, that famous line might hold some truth. In fact, being attractive might be the difference between landing a job or being turned away. This could better be explained as the Halo Effect. This affect generates from a bias opinion of a person, made from a trait/characteristic that person holds. For example, what is beautiful - is also good. Therefore, if being attractive has its advantages in the job field, then investing in your appearance might actually pay off!

The 9th Life of Louis Drax
The 2016, supernatural thriller film The 9th life of Louis Drax is based on a best-selling novel by Liz Jensen. The film was written by Max Minghella and directed by Alexandre Aja. Alexandre Aja is a producer and director, who primarily works on films within the horror genre. The 9th Life of Louis Drax is centered around the story of a young “accident prone” boy (Louis) that finds himself in a coma after falling off a cliff during a family picnic. The film is partially narrated by Louis, who is seemingly aware of what is transpiring around him despite his body laying still in a comatose state. Within his unconscious mind, Louis is joined by an uncanny mysterious creature to whom he is telling his life-story to. As the plot unfolds, we meet several other characters that will help solve the mystery behind Louis’ near-fatal accidents. Louis’ relationship with his mother is special, but in the end it is the relationship he shares with his father that serves Louis’ decision as to where he will choose to live out his ninth life.

TSA
On September 11th 2001 four American airplanes were hijacked by al-qaeda members, who planned to carry out one of the largest terrorist attack on American soil. Two of the planes flew into the world trade center in New York City. This attack killed almost 3,000 people and injured more than 6,000 others. The third plane crashed into the pentagon, resulting in a partial collapse of the building while the fourth plane crashed in a field in Pennsylvania after passengers attempted to stop the hijackers. Post- 9/11 the fear of future terror attacks was high. In order to keep anything like this from happening again, airports would need to improve their security protocols. One of the security improvements were full-body scanners that were capable of seeing underneath clothing. While the majority of American’s agree with airport body-scanners, others have concerns about them.

In the bird world, the Corvidae family are definitely the scholars of their kind. They are trainable problem-solvers. Researchers have been amazed by the brain-power these birds possess. Whoo is this mystique feathered friend that challenge researchers? The Owl, of course.
