GOOD INTENTIONS
Last summer was full of unexpected situations. One of them that has hit the whole world is COVID-19. Fortunately, I can say that my boyfriend and I did not get over Covid, but we found ourselves in a very awkward situation due to emergencies. Last summer at this time we stayed on the beautiful island of Gran Canaria. We decided to travel in a van, a motorhome, so we could see as much of the island as possible. So unfortunately we found ourselves in a difficult situation. Our van had a bed and a small cooking stove and a place for things we took on the trip. We could only sleep in our van. We didn’t have a seating area but we had to sit in the front seats. At the time the quarantine was declared we had no opportunity to leave the island or the van.In those 6 months we moved 4 times. As it was quarantined no kind of camping was allowed and that is why we moved so many times. The police were constantly visiting us and I have to admit they were full of understanding for our situation. So when we changed the last position, the police received us nicely in Mogan, where they allowed us to stay until we were able to leave the island. They even brought us masks that were made by hand. I was overjoyed that these policemen showed us that they are people too and that they understand that it is not easy for us either. So after 5 months of staying on the island we finally found peace. We were close to the beach so we could bathe the islands in the sea every night instead of in the tub or shower. We could take out the chairs in front of the van and the table and like people eat at the table. Thanks to the cops for the last month, I felt like I was on vacation. But that's not the end of the story. When the ferry lines finally opened we went to Las Palmas to the marina to buy tickets for the return trip. We ran out of money on the cards and because of that we had a huge problem. Namely, because of Covid, they did not receive cash, only cards. We got our turn and asked the lady if it was possible to pay in cash? The lady was clear she could not be paid in cash. We stood aside to the people waiting in line. We talked about it and looked for a solution. The guy standing next to us offered to help when he heard what had happened to us. But unfortunately he didn’t have enough money on the card. He apologized and wished us luck. This was heard by a couple standing behind a boy who was trying to help us. And they offered to help us so the gentleman paid us the tickets with a card and we gave him the money. I was more than happy. In all that unfortunate quarantine I can say that I am grateful to have met so many wonderful people wherever I have been on the island. A wonderful experience that gave me hope that there are good people in the world. People who are willing to help a complete stranger. An experience that changed my outlook on life. I will always carry with me this wonderful experience and I hope this island is not the only one in the world with so many good people. There is always a need to help in life because you never know when you will need help. So let’s be human and help each other because that’s the only way we can survive as a species.

Cake without weighing
I am one of the people who really likes sweets and especially cakes and cake. When I was still a 10-year-old girl, I loved baking cakes and cooking with my mom. She already had a whole collection of recipe books back then. One of them is especially dear to me and I still have it today because she only has simple cake recipes. At some point my scale broke down and I needed a recipe that was not for weighing. So I peeked into the book and found a perfect, simple recipe for cakes without weighing. Apart from the fact that no scales are needed, we can add any fruit from all nuts and everything else, apples, cherries, strawberries, cherries, peaches, apricots, pears, forest fruits ... with one recipe we can bake a different cake every day depending on of what you love. This cake has another advantage. If you don't have an oven, you can bake it in a bread maker, as I do. And now I will share with you a recipe in which I add apples and cinnamon because now is apple season and I have them in abundance in the garden.

LIFE SECRETS
Lately, there has been more and more talk about waking up and the secrets of a successful and happy life. Do everyone who reads and listens to you understand what this is about? My opinion is that the word awakening is not to be understood by just about everyone, even though you think you know. What exactly do we mean when we say I woke up? Have you ever wondered what exactly waking up means? At some point in my life, waking up meant getting out of bed in the morning or when my mom would tell me to wake up this is life and not a dream. The word awakening didn't really make much sense to me. I mean, I wasn’t exactly happy to hear the word awakening. But after the death of my mother, I felt peace for the first time, that is, a kind of awakening. To understand why in a nutshell I will say that my mom suffered from multiple sclerosis and was completely immobile for 20 years. Because of the illness she had she was often depressed and angry because she could not help and felt like a burden sometimes which for me, dad and my daughter was very often difficult to bear mentally and sometimes physically. That is why when she died, an unseen peace and quiet reigned in the house, which I had not had the opportunity to hear until then. That was something new for me. I started reading books, watching videos on the internet, listening to various motivational speakers and meditating. In the meantime, I came across the word awakening very often. At first I did not yet understand the exact meaning of that word but today after so much time I can say with certainty that I know what waking up means.Well for those who haven’t figured it out yet here’s what I think about it. Awakening or awareness means, knowing who we really are. To realize that we are not just body and mind, that there is another part of us without which we would not even exist. It's called a soul. When we realize that we are all three and not just the body we begin to wake up. Let's just start waking up. The realization that everything comes from our emotions that cause our thoughts and then realization, that’s part of waking up. Awakening is when you realize that you are love and that we produce everything bad ourselves with our thoughts. Awakening is self-control. Awakening is a constant feeling of love and peace. Awakening is forgiveness. When you realize that you feel better when you forgive no matter how hard it is, it’s waking up because that’s when you feel better. Awakening is when you realize that every path is the right path because you chose it, you didn’t choose it for no reason. Awakening is when you realize that everything in your life is for a reason and the ugly and beautiful. Every situation, every person in your life brings you a certain experience necessary for further life. And one more thing for the end. I have to admit that I barely mustered the courage to write all this because this is my first article in life and I hope you liked it. Thanks to everyone who read. Life is Beautiful .
