Love Notes
June 16th, 2051 My Dearest Ben, I am writing this letter to inform you that mother has forbidden us to see each other any longer. As Daddy is away currently because of the war and the draft, Mom ended up the one in charge. Due to this, she has moved us across the country and forbidden that I write or have any contact with you any longer. This is so not fair! I do not want to stop seeing you! As internet and all technology no longer works these days my only choice is to write you this letter and mail it out secretly, hopefully Mother never finds out. If you do decide to write me back please leave the return address blank so she will never find out. If I do not hear from you I will just assume that you agree with Mother’s wishes and we will stop seeing each other.

The World of the Golden Locket
It has been 532 days since this all started. The day was just like any other, or so that's what everyone thought, including me. At first, being only 16 at the time, the end of our world didn't seem so bad. It was freedom. Without the government telling people what you can and can't do, as a 16-year-old girl, all of that just seemed perfect. However, without rules, the new world was complete and utter chaos. Sure, people could do what they want without consequences. Unfortunately, that also meant that stealing what you wanted and fighting to obtain it was also allowed now. Murder, to survive, became a common occurrence. It didn't take long to figure that out for me, everything was a fight. Everyone was at war with everyone else.

The Beginning or the End of the Rest of My Life
It was a very cold and rainy day the day it all started. Mom and Dad had been divorced now for about 3 years. We were living in Idaho, about 300 miles away from Grandma. Things in my life were perfect there. I had great friends, great teachers, great parents, heck even my siblings and I got along most of the time. However, little did I know my very perfect life was about to change.

What Makes Me Tick
Have you ever felt that sensation in your heart, your soul, and your mind, that just makes you feel a purpose? Does it make you feel relief from the stressful world around us? Does it make you feel calm, alive, and amazing all at once? Does it make everything seem like when it is just you and that one thing the whole world has just stopped clean in its tracks, and everything right now is just blissfully perfect? I have and I couldn’t even begin to describe the magic of it. It’s not only my hobby, it also my job. It is the very thing that makes me tick ad keeps me going when things are dark and grey!
