Episode 3- “Shootouts”
[This the first episode with a “Cold Open”]:
The episode picks up where we left off at the dive bar. Faith is still lying on the floor, dodging bullets, and debris. She looks up to the faces behind the semi-automatic guns and all she can see is black face masks and all black suits. The assault continues for at least another 5 minutes before faith thinks it is safe to get up from her hiding spot, but it was too late. A no name waiter started to run for her as a man, or thug in black behind him, began shooting and riddled his body with bullets so bad that his hand severed, falling to the floor. The hand fell into a pool of blood, splashing some onto Faith’s top. She was trembling. Now faith was face to face with one of the thugs. She was terrified so much that she lost her urine. “Will I suffer the same fate that my late husband did?” she thought to herself. As soon as she could continue her mental assessment of the situation, the thugs exited. The only sound you could hear were sobbing and screams of pain from the injured. Earl was all she could think of. As she finally got up from the floor, she rushed over to the table where her and DMX were about to have their meal. A NYCPD officer was entering the bar with swat included. Before she could advance further to the table, one of the officers stopped her. “There is nothing you want to see Miss” the young officer said with a dose of compassion. As soon as Faith noticed that compassion, she caught a glimpse of Earl saturated with blood. His eyes looked like doll eyes, fixed on the ceiling. He looked dead. Faith then let out a scream with the highest decibel it could shatter whatever glass left intact.
