I dreamed a dream much bigger than me I caged the demons I inherited, left them to starve in dark and dusty corners Swept them clean with the clutter in my head

The tick, tick, ticking of the clock, clock, clock sticks sharply in my ears. As I sit quiet and alone in the cold sterile room.
Once I heard a lullaby sweetly sung to me. With melodies so soft and light, I drifted merrily through the night. Close to dawn, I came upon a beach golden and serene.
Busy, Busy Bumblebee much too busy to see me. Always moving so swiftly past me, believing I will never leave. But when you finally slow down to rest, you won’t find me among what’s left.
The universe was speaking, but you did not hear. I tried to teach you, but you could not learn. I tried to teach you to see what I did, but you were so closed you became blind.
Would you see me? If my childhood scars were seen on my skin instead of buried deep within. If I wore the weight of my burdens and fears as if they were rolls around my waist.
This husk is calm Unmemorable and blank But what lies within, is a mass of untamed vibrance and life It begs to be seen
