Waking Thoughts: A Journey of a Depressed Soul. #5
A quick disclaimer: This is a work in progress and depicts the real Everyday thoughts of a real person. This isn’t going to be some curated “tik-tok” view that people like to pretend is real. This may not always be very pretty, if fact it may get uncomfortable and ugly at times if you don’t like the idea of pain and depression. I am starting a journey of self-discovery and soul healing, I hope that leads to a better future, but we will not know until we take the journey.

Competent leaders and informed citizens are required…
--- "Our constitution is called a democracy because power is in the hands not of a minority but of the whole people. When it is a question of settling private disputes, everyone is equal before the law; when it is a question of putting one person before another in positions of public responsibility, what counts is not membership of a particular class, but the actual ability which the man possesses."

First Love
I remember trying to draw a perfect little heart on a note for the first time. It just didn't seem to look right no matter how many attempts were given. There I was, 5th-grade math, completely ignoring what was probably a very important lesson. I can't quite remember the teacher's name but I do remember hers as well as the awkward competing emotions, thoughts, and hormones running through me and my mind. Embarrassment, because up to this point, none of the boys in my circle had admitted to really liking a girl yet. Confusion, well because this was all new. It hadn't been a whole year before that I remembered not wanting anything to do with a girl because they didn't typically like sports or dirt.

Saving Money Monthly
--- Money! It's something we could all use more of, especially during such uneasy financial times. Many think the only thing to do is increase their income because the idea of lowering monthly expenses seems impossible. However, smartly and effectively lowering recurring monthly costs could be just as beneficial as your typical small percentage yearly raise and even more so when complemented with said raise. There are many recurring monthly charges that we all have, and while some can just be canceled like a streaming service or gym membership, others we are stuck with month in and month out. Many believe there is nothing that can be done about these, with car insurance being one of the tops. Americans overpay for car insurance by an estimated $21 billion annually. So, there is clearly room to save some much-needed moolah and pad your bottom monthly line.
