Three Lingering Questions About the Fundamental Approach to Destiny 2
On May 18 Bungie debuted its sequel to its successful, popular title Destiny in the form of Destiny 2. Being a major Destiny fan and with it the game I have spent the most time on since my Call of Duty days, I was extremely excited to see what they had in store for us. I was very happy with the results. Bungie has taken a fundamental approach to rebuilding the game from the ground up, and it shows.

Wonder Woman Is the Hero We Need
*SPOILERS FOLLOW, OBVIOUSLY. Nearly every comic book movie these days has some sort of ancient/cosmic being trying to destroy the world/universe. There’s been a lot of hoopla and outrage surrounding Destiny 2 post E3. The focus has particularly been on the decision making by Bungie, the developer of Destiny and Destiny 2, regarding this game. (Note, I’m not going to discuss why some people are calling the game “Destiny 1.5”)

‘Baby Driver’ Is a Love Letter to Sound in Cinema
*SPOILERS FOLLOW* From the opening moments of Baby Driver, the audience can hear an audible ringing sound. The same sound that Baby, the film’s titular character, hears all the time because of an accident he was in as a child, giving him tinnitus. This ringing sound sets up a first-person perspective that the audience is not accustomed to hearing, hearing being the operative word. Throughout the film, what Baby hears, the audience also hears.
