Merlot in Moody Lighting
The thing about first dates is that they’re almost always terrible. That’s harsh I know, but hear me out. Even if the person is interesting and you have a laugh, even if the restaurant has amazing food, on some level...it’s going to be terrible. I don’t mean to sound pessimistic, but there’s just a raw vulnerability involved in a first date that both people are keenly aware of. And in the modern age of 2021, vulnerability is a tall order.

One Night in Mykonos
After There's nothing like a world-wide pandemic to make you miss the sweet smell of the Mykonos coastline! I somehow wandered down a rabbit hole of photos from my trip to the Greek Islands in October of 2019, which inspired this particular submission! Our entire trip was breathtaking, each stop presenting a new wonder and a renewed sense of appreciation for the natural beauty of this great planet! I quickly learned that Greek hospitality welcomes you with open arms, dry white wine and plenty of olives!

Returning Home
Sabbia, a town so influenced by the ocean that the sea salt carries in every breath. The pasta is salted by it, the produce enriched by it and the wine has a distinct dryness that makes you crave just one more glass. It is not the most beautiful town on the Gulf of Naples but it is an honest place where people wear their grudges on their sleeves.
