"Man of hardships"
I grew up in a small apartment in a rundown part of town. The walls were thin, and we could hear our neighbors through them. The ceiling had a few cracks, and sometimes it would leak when it rained. We didn't have much in the way of furniture, and our clothes were often secondhand. But we made do with what we had, and my parents always made sure that we had enough to eat and a roof over our heads.
