A Room With One Window
Have you ever found yourself so overwhelmed by the chaotic anxieties of life, that you felt that the sky above had collapsed upon you, and now the floor below you was replaced with molten lava. No, well the few overthinking souls that have, will understand the importance of slowing your racing mind down. The way to not only slow time down, but make more time where there isn’t any, starts simply with stopping. Yes, stopping and reevaluating what is the major priority at the moment, and what can be pushed to the back burner. Back when I was in college, I wanted to function as a beehive whilst being one person; it didn’t end up so well. But yet it did, because it taught me that when one is trying to extinguish a fire, they must prioritize what is key, and then fan out the flames from there.

STRANDS OF SUNSHINE
Swiveled salon chairs decked with anxious clients on a Saturday. Some with flights to catch, appointments to take, delayed meetings, or simply no where to be at all. All of this I seen as I traversed down the hall to a corner salon in which my mother stood intensely twirling tendrils into perfect coiffures. It’s always made me sad when some people reflected on the hair care industry with dismissive hurt, when I’ve watched it bring joyous tears to so many women’s lives. Our hair (or lack thereof) is a way we connect with things up above. It’s a plethora of antennas that receive and send signals amongst the chaotic human race. It is tasked with conveying our personality, and internal sentiments without even motioning our lips.

Candle In The Wind
Perfect lighting is like a candle in the wind, that is why the most brilliant shots are the ones that reflect the light from within. The aura that every one of us projects; unique specifically to ourselves. Photography to me, is always about enhancing what is already there. So you want to be both deliberate and in the moment. Make sure the model’s shirt isn’t sloppily splayed, or the hair frames their face shape suitably.

He Takes All of His Girlfriends to Mexico
I’ve been pacing the floors of my mind, contemplating these realities, and which of them to say. Because writing to you is not like writing to him, knowing one day you will read these words that accentuate these pages. More so in fact I’ve typed them before hand to keep track of my wonderings. As this life’s tempo quickens, I question my volition as Lucifer’s derision consumes God’s vision for my life. It’s life itself that I question; learning to be human is no simple task for one as myself. I’m simply a human in training, tripping over humanities customs. I’m constantly trampling the subtle feet of its dance.
