Addressing the Gender Gap in Employment
Mrs. Hart is a lovely mother of two. She used to have a thriving career in a huge company, but ever since she had her twins, she decided that it would be better for her to focus on caring for her children and their household. She would have loved to still keep her job, but unfortunately, she found that most businesses in her area don’t offer flexible work hours and don’t provide parental benefits or leaves. As a mother, this set-up simply isn’t sustainable.

Picture this: A twenty-three-year-old woman, let’s call her Anna, is in her senior year in college. In a year, she’ll be out of university and into the ‘real world’ where she expects to land a well-paying job that will kickstart her career. Suddenly, she got wind of news about a fast-spreading virus from Wuhan. She thought it was not a big deal, that is until a few weeks later when governments around the world announced full-scale lockdowns. Her life drastically changes within a span of a few months. Her last year in college would be online, she would barely be outside, and she would be isolated.

Nature Mirroring Humanity
As humans evolve, so does our world. Things that may have been unprecedented or unthinkable years ago can be accessed today with a few taps on a screen. The medical and scientific field has had countless breakthroughs that benefit humanity to this day. Several discoveries have driven us closer to the universe than ever before--The law of gravity, theory of relativity, Big bang theory, and quantum physics have all steered humanity closer to its cosmic roots. One would think that with all this knowledge, we should be doing better than we are now.
