Post Relationship Depression
It's been days since I've left the bedroom. I'm curled up on the bed trying to keep warm wondering how she's doing. I wonder if she ever thinks of all the damage and heartache we've been through and how she always started it all with her over the top dramatic outrages. I wonder if she's still blaming me for everything and avoiding taking responsibility for her behavior. Of course she hasn't. She's a narcissist playing the victim role and everything is always about her.

The Enemy of Love
The more I went over the words in my head and how to say them the more restless and uncertain I became. All I could think about was her. I had only known her for three months but was head over heels in love with her. It was love at first sight. I’ll never forget the moment I saw her for the first time. She gracefully floated across the floor and I’m not even sure her feet were touching the ground. She was radiating light and beauty in a way I’d never seen before.

The Old Barn
A rooster crows in the distance as the first rays of morning light up the sky in deep shades of red illuminating the old barn resting peacefully in the field behind the farm house. Thomas had lived all his twelve years in that old farm house and in his mind, the old barn had always been there and always will be. Thomas didn't know why, and nobody talked about it, but there was something very special about that old barn. Especially in the mystical haze of the morning fog.

Under the Floorboards
Annie's eyes sprung open wide at the sound of loud knocking on the front door. She was tucked away in the secret bed her father made for her under the floorboards of their small home. It was just the two of them now. Her mother and two brothers died in the wave of outbreaks that took the lives of over half the population of Earth. She closed her eyes and quietly took a deep breath as she listened the sound of her father's footsteps heading across the floor to the front door.

dayTree
Daytree is an idea that I came up with a few years ago. The goal is to inspire and encourage people thru creative ways to learn, grow, and live life to it's fullest following their passions. I wanted a place where I could share the music and stories I write and also feature other creative artist doing unique and amazing things. Art is anything imagined materialized in any form, so I don't want to limit it. But, keep it focused on the positive to help ourselves and others grow creatively, spiritually, and be more productive.
