Reclaiming our Inner Witch
I am Ariella Strauss and go by Ariella Mystic wolf .I am a fantasy-fiction author under my name Ariella Strauss, and a practicing Witch and Priestess hence the Mystic Wolf name. It is time to reclaim our Witch title back and not let society or religion tell you what our craft is or isn't. Throughout history religion tainted our practice whether you were a healer, doctor, wise man or woman. It is time whether privately or publicly to stand strong in your roots, embrace yourself and this craft . This energy, magick, IS real . Witchcraft is misunderstood. Different people have different intentions in their practice. This is true, but not everyone practices maleficent ways or uses their craft in negative ways. There are many like myself who heals people, builds bridges in humanity and embrace both sides of life, the light and dark. So I just wanted to bring awareness to others that we don't need to hide who we are. Yes in some cases it's safer to keep private and please do so, but be authentic to yourself and be that badass witch my sisters and brothers. Be who the Divine made you to be. Help others by lending your voice and support letting them lean on you incase they cant speak out. Some topic have come up like can you be a witch and have religion? YES! Though unless your community- congregation accepts witches I wouldn't be bragging about it publicly during service. However for me Yeshua is my Messiah and teacher, Mary Magdalene his wife is my sister and I am a Priestess under them. I do not follow Christendom, but you can say that I am a Christian Witch OR I am a Christian that practices witchcraft. I balance both out. Another thing I notice with face book groups and different practices is many want to be all "love and light" and not go near the dark side. Let me tell as a family friend who is Native American and he is to me a medicine man, he told me many times "Not all good is good and not all bad is bad" "Not all light is light , not all dark is dark." So otherwise we have to have balance. I'm not saying go way on the pendulum and go way dark into necromancy dark. I have friends who practice that and do the hoo doo/ voodoo . Some practice under the death Goddess La Santa Muerte, also known as Santisima Muerte, is the beloved goddess of death whose origins date back to the pre-Hispanic period of Mexico. I respect them, but that's not my path. I am an energy healer but yet I also go dark and do blood magick with my spells for protection and I bind and curse as a last resort. I work with Hecate at the crossroads time to time, but I always balance myself out . One thing that I learned from a YouTube friend is that a witch is a witch. No need to label ourselves "Light/Dark" "Sea, weather, herbal, kitchen" witch. We are just witches that practice in those areas. If I were to use every label that I do it would be long, and changing . I'd be a gray, astral realm, eclectic priestess witch. I just wanted to round up again in closing of this article don't be afraid of who you are. Let that energy flow. You want to be a Witch that has a religion? Great! Embrace both sides. You want to walk the wild side and help humanity and be a Chaos Witch stirring that pot? Go for it, I know I do! DO NOT let religion, peoples opinion, or society take away who you are. Own your inner witch, Be true to yourself. This again is Ariella Strauss aka Ariella Mystic wolf reminding you to embrace your inner Witch.
