The symphony of absence
She loved the old park at the edge of the town. Bushy dark green crowns of old trees, bringing shade and coolness on a hot summer day, narrow stone-paved winding paths, large and colorful flowerbeds – all these things were dear to the heart and filled her with joy. In the farthest corner of the park there was a small pond, overgrown with reeds and waterlilies. This part resembled the forest. And that`s why she loved it so much. Here she could always find the solitude and immerse deep into her thoughts and memories. It was their place: they met here, here they spent so many happy hours, enjoying each other`s company and here they said their goodbyes.

Living my own life
I was born, raised and lived most of my life in the country with old-fashioned views on women and their role in the society. Women must follow the precise life plan: graduate from school, then college and, after that, get married and start delivering babies right away. Building a career is not for women. Man is the main provider and achiever in the family.

An untold story of one seaman
My entire life I have never met a person who would be indifferent to the sea. Most people love the sea, adore it. They picture slowly dancing turquoise waves, a light breeze and specular surface reflecting the skies. Hundreds of poets, musicians and artists are inspired by the sea and dedicate their works to it. As for me, I hate it. I hate the waters with all my heart and soul. Perhaps, because I often see the ugly and horrific side of the sea, the wild roar of cold plumbeous waves, a deafening howl of wind and the hopeless and desperate cries of fellow sailors. The sea is a starving beast, devouring everything that gets in its way. It`s a ruthless abyss, dragging down the victims indiscriminately.

My special place
Everybody has a special place, the place where they feel comfortable and safe, and where they always want to return. My special place was my aunt Victoria`s house. During my visits, I could feel the warmth spreading in my soul. I have such fond memories of my aunt, her stories and our last meeting.

Finding harmony
Everybody has experienced stress at least once in their lives. Work and family troubles, lack of money, problems with health – the list is endless. Life is tough and full of unpleasant moments and complex situations. That`s why it is so important to find the way to release the tension and get rid of all negative thoughts. For some people it`s very easy to disconnect from the outside world and harmful factors. Others are like me – we start overthinking, immerse into self-destructing rage, suffer from anxiety and insomnia.

Letter from the unknown
Sunday morning. Cloudy autumn day but this is the first weekend for Rosie after a long time, so it`s a wonderful day. No need to rush, so girl decided she could afford to sleep in. However, you can`t sleep all day long. The clock on the nightstand showed that it`s 11 am already and a huge desire for black coffee made her get up. A cold shower helped to wake up and after Rosie switched on the coffee machine, she decided to go through her mail. Bill, fresh newspaper, another bill – nothing special. Wait! What is this? A weird looking black envelope with no stamps or address. Perhaps somebody threw it into Rosie`s mailbox by mistake.
