Lyrics as a Love Language
I am going to keep my writing short because this is very much about the music. Throughout our relationship music has been a driving force for us, this is a selection of songs that tell our story and are all off one of our playlists. We make new playlist for each other every year on our anniversary and on Valetine's Day because our love and appreciation for each is always growing. As this playlist will tell...

A Parent's Playlist
This is a playlist for my child's 18th birthday. A song for every year to exemplify the time frame of our life along with a short explanation. However, in most cases I am fairly certain the songs will speak for themselves. This was a very emotional journey back through his life with all the growth and changes, for him as well as me. Retrospect and hindsight are intense lenses to look through. I want to share as much as I can with you guys, but some of it is sensitive material. I hope the music makes up for what may be lacking in detail.

The Old Frigidaire
(Light, She, Maid) The light spread wide on the pale dirty linoleum as the sun slowly filled the kitchen. There have only been two mornings in my life that I have not eaten breakfast at this small table and watched the sun creep across the floor all the way to the old yellow Frigidaire. It was odd to think that this would possibly be my last. I smiled as the sunlight touched my cherry kool aid stain in the middle of the floor, one of my fondest memories of my mom and one of my first in life.

Into the Meadow
Vaciella stood frozen at the edge of the forest, filled with fear, she was unable to force herself to step into the meadow. She looked down at her feet questioning their defiance, despite her demands to move forward they remained firm where they were. The tips of her toes teetered on the border between the shade of the trees and the bright blaze of the midday sun hitting the meadow.

Crab and Bull
(Claws, Sea, Shell) Being a Dove, people always ask me about true love & the secret to a perfect relationship. I look every one of them in the eye & say ‘There is no such thing as a perfect relationship & the only way you find true love is to love truly.’ I explain that it is simply impossible for it to be perfect but that doesn’t mean it can’t be amazing. No one will ever be able to love another exactly the way they want, the key is to just try.

The Mountain and The Wizard
***READ IN OLD FAIRY TALE TONE*** There once was a village that stood in the center of a valley. The village was prosperous and peaceful, yet small and simple. Life for everyone who lived there was easy and effortless but also unexciting and eventless. Massive mountains surrounded the valley on all four sides, the largest of which was to the North. On the Great Northern Mountain there was said to live a Wizard who watched over the village from afar. The villagers praised the Wizard for his protection and providence.
