Reflections through the Smoke and Mirrors
Every night at midnight, the purple clouds came out to dance with the blushing sky. And, this particular night, the iridescent hues seemed to find themselves dancing down the corridor leading to my study. The birchwood door is cracked slightly open as Dom peaks his furry face in to greet me. The lighting bouncing off his vibrant cyan fur, he scurries in my direction, curling his body next to the right side of the Victorian leather desk chair where he finds me hunched over.

Smoke in the Garden
The blueprint of American culture is not a love story but one of triumph, power, domination. The blueprint of American culture is a battlefield of civilians persevering, teachings on how to defeat our opposition, how to reap the justices of conquesting another. It’s a story about egotism, selfishness, greed, control. Based on the historical structures of this story, human relationships suffered from it by becoming transactional; "what can I get out of this?" The philosophy behind equivalent retaliation (re: tit for tat) is bred in the makeup of this country, so much so, it has been carried into the homes. America, so far removed from the idea of love, has led us blindly, having no recollection on how to discover a solid foundation of what love truly means.

Run
If walls could talk, they would reassure her it was never her fault…and that was all I ever intended to do. I would tell you the chaotic experiences and the psychological tricks being played were, indeed real, that it was far from deserved, that you weren't crazy. I would witness you being confined in a home of empty rooms, foyer under renovations, furnished with a sense of complacent interim. You had a personality embodying one of a majestic Queen, yet here you were, all because you did not know of your royal status.
