Calypso the Adorable Pup
I met Calypso two days after I had to say goodbye to my best friend, familiar, and beloved furbaby, Selene. Her health had started to deteriorate a couple of years prior and the year before saying goodbye to her we’d discovered she had a rare type of cancer that was inoperable and had no treatment. The type could be either aggressive or super slow growing. Sadly, Selene had the aggressive version of this cancer and even while writing this almost 3 years later I get teary eyed over the loss. I knew there was no way I could handle the void there was without having a dog in my life. One of my best friends knew this; she was with me the day Selene passed.

Gpose in Final Fantasy XIV – A Basic Walk Through
Here’s a different take on photography. In this article I’ll be talking about in-game photography in one of my favorite games, Final Fantasy XIV (FFXIV). Among the many things you can do in game, you can take screenshots of your character, your friends, the scenery, and any other combination. The feature in game is Group Pose, or gpose for short. I really enjoy doing gpose because it’s so similar to photography with picking what I want to capture, working with lighting, poses and emotes, and angles.

Witchy Reward
Today I’m opening my new plant store. It is a dream come true! I’ve always wanted my own Green Witch plant store. Not that it will reduce the number of plants at home that my friends and family always give me grief for. Now my passion for plants and sharing it with others is being realized. And it’s all by chance. Really, it is. It all started a month ago…

The Frozen Lich Trading Company: A New Apartment
Sophie sighed in contentment as she sunk lower into the warm bath water. The apartment she had wanted was available when she contacted the landlord. With the $20,000 part of her lottery winnings she had been able to get the apartment. Plus it was immediately available for her to move in. Dax and Talek had laughed at how quickly Sophie had moved. The rushed moved was so worth the resulting peace and quiet. And the deep tub made for the best bubble baths to relax in. Though she did have to get out of the tub before turning into a walking prune.

The Frozen Lich Trading Company: The Lost Black Notebook
A warm beam of spring sunshine danced merrily through the open window between two towering bookcases onto hardwood flooring. Birds were singing their happiness that the long, hard winter had ended. In the corner of the room was a woman seated in front of a large canvas on an easel with a palette of paints on the table next to her where she was also resting her elbow that held up the hand her chin was resting on. Despite the sounds of spring, fresh air, and great lighting Sophie was staring at a blank canvas that was staring back at her.
