Run from Father
The cabin in the woods had been abandoned for years, but one night, a candle burned in the window. I turned my eyes away to focus on my studies, my English paper was due in two days and yet I had barely begun. I couldn't help but divert my look towards the candle burning... no one lives in that cabin, it was left abandoned years before I was born. I wonder who was in there? I went to ask Momma about it. I found her sitting in fathers rocking chair knitting yet another green jumper for winter "Momma there is a candle burning from the cabin? Placing her knitting down she rose to have a look. But when she got to the window it was out... "where is this candle burning" she asks. I pointed to where the cabin was... "you must need glasses" Momma said. I quickly looked over and Momma was right. The candle was out.

Camp Food
Going on camp in the school holidays was always exciting, making new friends, taking on new responsibilities, and the best was exploring the kitchen when it was your turn to cook for the whole camp. Under supervision of course. It was so exciting playing with gadgets never before seen. My favourite was the toaster where you can toast rows and rows of bread at once. All you had to do was lay the bread down flat in single rows of four and the the machine would slide the bread through the heated grills and out they would pop on the other side ready for stacking, then to be served.

Echo
"There weren't always dragons in the valley". My grandfather yelled slamming his fists upon the dining table. I looked outside the window to see Echo's purple eye glaring in at the commotion. Grandfather often talked about a time when dragons didn't exist. Along with a prophecy that speaks about when a dragon chooses you, both souls and bodies morph together. Only then will the world know the true History of dragons and where they came from. The world waits for the first dragon to choose its human.
