The Haunting of Goldfield
The Haunting of Goldfield The Cabin in the woods had been abandoned for years, but one night, a candle burned in the window. The local park ranger Bernard Chester couldn’t believe it. He had driven down this path for several years and had not ever seen anything going on in there. Now, he sees a candle. He had to admit to himself that he was freaked out by it. He did not want to go anywhere near that cabin. Of course, he never did. That cabin had always given him the creeps! It was old and it was very run-down. Nobody had lived there for nearly thirty years, and, to his knowledge, nobody had stepped foot in there for just as long. The people who owned it had just abandoned it one day. They left and were never seen again. Nobody seemed to know why. Bernard had his suspicions, but he had always kept them to himself. He didn’t want to scare the townspeople.

Indoor Skydiving
I was a small child, I wished that I could fly, just like so many other people. I watched a documentary of flamingos once and found myself wishing that I could be just like that flamingo. Just fly wherever I wanted to go. As a got older I learned that humans can not fly as we don’t When have the bone structure for it anyway. The natural way that is! There are many other ways that humans play, every day. From hot air ballooning, aerobatic planes, helicopters, gliders, and passenger planes. Those are some of the many ways in which people fly, daily. There is one way that I have flown that not too many people have, and that is through wind tunneling (indoor skydiving).

Rebounding Is My Passion
This challenge was a fun one, however a little difficult one. The challenge was to write about what I am most passionate about. That right there was the hard part, as there are many things that I am passionate about. I could write a whole thesis on what I am passionate about and the reasons for each one of them. The topic that I chose that I am extremely passionate is jumping on a trampoline, also known as rebounding. That has been one of my passion’s majority of my life.

The Last Generation for Great Music Was: The 90's
The Last Generation for Great Music Was: The 90's Remembering the Good Old Days By Alisha Allen I have been asked to submit an article on my teenage favorite playlist and I am more than happy to do so. Music was especially important to me as a teenager. Like so many of us, life was challenging for me in high school. I sure had some fun moments, however, there was a lot of hardship too, and not just those fun moments. I know that is every aspect of life, however, when we are teenagers, we don’t really know how to deal with the rough times as we don’t have the maturity or wisdom, yet. Music was what really helped me to get through those rough times. Music also played a role in the great times too. So, I will be mentioning in this article some of the happy, upbeat party songs, as well as some of the songs that helped pull me out of depression.

The McAltruistic Stranger
We all have encounters in our life that we shall never forget. I had one in the winter of 2007 that left a big impact on my life. It was the day that made me genuinely believe that there are things that happen in this life that are truly unexplainable in this world.

The Best Christmas Food Pairing
When I was a kid, one of my favorite parts of Christmas was the milk and cookies. Unfortunately, I never got to do the homemade sugar cookies. I never got to do the homemade dough, rolling it out, cutting them with cookie cutters, and decorating them. My mom was always too busy. So, she would pick up a bag of Mrs. Fields whenever she went to the mall. Those cookies did not last long. Come Christmas Eve, there would usually only be one cookie left for Santa and half a glass of milk. Those are fond memories of my childhood.

Parade S'mores Cookies
Parade Smores Cookies By Alisha Allen It seems that many people have that special cookie that mom always made at Christmas time. For most it’s sugar cookies! For others it’s gingerbread men or snickerdoodles. I always wanted my kids to grow up and talk about that special cookie their mom always made during the holidays with their friends and significant others. I just couldn’t figure out what that special cookie would be, until a couple of years ago at the Boulder City, NV Christmas Parade.

The Best Halloween Music Videos
The Best Halloween Music Videos By: Alisha Allen My favorite time of year is Autumn. I love the color of the weather, smore’s, costume shopping, watching scary movies. That is definitely one of my favorite parts about Halloween. I love to cuddle up with a nice blanket and watch a good movie. There are so many good ones, too! I might do a movie review at some point, however right now there is something else that I want to talk about. Halloween music! I love to watch some Halloween music videos on Youtube. Nobody ever talks about Halloween music, mainly because they believe Halloween is the devil’s birthday. Everybody listens to Christmas music. Some even listen to it all year, however nobody ever talks about their favorite Halloween song. I want to help try and change that, which is why I have made a list of my favorite Youtube videos.

Pride and Prejudice and Zombies
The award for best horror film goes to: Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. I am often asked, "What is a Halloween movie that you watch every year, without fail?" A more common way of phrasing the same question might be, "Which is your favorite Halloween movie?" Since Halloween is my favorite holiday and one thing I love to do is watch scary movies the whole month of October, that really is a tough question to answer, since there are so very many of them! Sure, there are some stinkers, but there are so many good ones! One that I must watch every single year though, is Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, starring Lily James and Sam Riley with Bella Heathcote, Ellie Bamber, Millie Brady, Suki Waterhouse, Douglas Booth and Sally Phillips. The entire cast is absolutely stellar, but Game of Thrones fans will be thrilled to see Lena Heady and Charles Dance together again, as well! The cast is only one of many terrific reasons I keep coming back to this movie again and again, over the past four years and do not see an end in sight.
