A Hero's Journey
The red dust settled on an Earth that was now dark and grim. Wind and Fire scattered to the corners of the world in awe of the desolated wasteland they created together. Left was a little boy of six years old stranded in what used to be Charleston, South Carolina. Buildings that once stood tall were now resting in pieces along with the town. The boy, Easton, stood in the middle of the street holding on to the only thing he had left of the old world, a heart-shaped locket, a charm he has had since he can remember, passed down for generations, as told by his father. He opens the locket remembering the words his father spoke when placing the locket around his neck, "this locket holds the key to the universe, son, always protect it."

And to all a Goodnight
'Twas finally Christmas day, and all through the house, all creatures were quiet, even the mice. The lights were turned off bar the twinkling Christmas tree that stood tall in the family room, topped delicately with one dancing ballerina pig that had come to replace the original angel tree topper. The stockings were hung by the chimney with care, awaiting Saint Nick to fill them with candy and Christmas flair. The family in pajamas is cuddled on the couch waiting, while the cold air whistles and blows outside playing, for Grandma to call and begin one long-standing family tradition.

The Saga of the Roach
It was much to my dismay that I came to notice, a roach that has taken up hospice in my master suite. We are currently reenacting Tom and Jerry scenes. I think he finds this both amusing and thrilling. I personally find it appalling and annoying. Little does he know he will die soon. His days are numbered and his time is marked by the Grim Reaper himself. However, he grows ever more ballsy. Let me explain:
