A Thousand Day Queen
Anne watched as they prepared the erect scaffold that was out in the green. She had just returned from her sham of a trial two days earlier, where her fate was sealed before she even walked into the room. The scaffold they were building was where she would meet her fate that was given to her in the courtroom. She still remembered how her uncle, the Duke of Norfolk, her own flesh and blood gave out the death sentence. To burned or beheaded at the King's pleasure he said. Those words were playing over and over in her head. But it was also no surprise her trial came to that outcome. Now that she failed to give Henry a son and heir like she promised he wanted to desperately get rid of her. Even if it meant ending her life over false accusations of adultery and incest.

The Speakeasy
Me and mom took on the daunting task of going through my great, great grandmother's stuff. She had recently passed and because it was so sudden she didn't leave a will. We honestly thought she was going to outlive us all, she was a very sturdy and heathy woman despite being over 100. Me and mom had to go through her stuff because our family didn't want to pitch in unless there was money involved. She wasn't a very rich woman but spoiled us with love and affection.

Mindful Gift Giving
Since this pandemic (or just 2020 in general) came into our lives it has just been one thing after another. A lot of people lost their jobs. As a result money has gotten tight for a lot of families which makes getting even the most basic things a challenge. And now that the holidays have arrived there are a lot more challenges because a lot of people are still struggling to get the basics and now they have to buy presents. For those who have children it is especially difficult because children depend on their parents for pretty much anything. And there are some kids who still don't understand what sacrifices and challenges their parents face just to provide for them and make sure they have the essentials. So for a lot of households, Christmas is going to look a lot different this year. But there are ways to still give gifts for Christmas but still be mindful not only for yourself but other people as well.

Turkey Breakfast Tacos!
Hello my little lovelies! So it is officially the Christmas season and it is the most wonderful time of the year! This is my favorite time of the year because after the year we have had (seriously) and we just need to end it on a good note and its about being with family and I think all of us need that. But anyway one of the most important rituals of Christmas morning is Christmas breakfast. It's a great way to calm everybody down after the frenzy of opening presents. Now my family we just had the usual breakfast: pancakes, eggs, toast, bacon, etc. But over the years I've gotten tired of the usual breakfast (sorry mom!).

What I am Thankful For
Let's face it. 2020 has been an interesting year to say the least. To the coronavirus pandemic to the presidential election and everything in between it's just been chaotic. Everybody had some type of setback due to the pandemic and somehow we still manage to get through the day. With Thanksgiving approaching I am thankful for a lot of things. Too many things to count really. But I'm going to try and list them all. Here it goes:

Blueberry Coconut Pancakes!
Hello my little lovelies! So for this recipe to be honest it was a total experiment. I was just feeling creative in my kitchen and this was born. Mainly because I'm really not much of a breakfast person and once it comes to breakfast I normally just throw whatever into a pan with some eggs and call it breakfast. It turned to be delicious and will definitely be going into my arsenal of recipes. This filled me up pretty much until dinner so if you need a meal where you're going to be busy all day and know that you probably won't be eating lunch this is perfect! Now I used coconut ice cream protein powder from 1Up to help make these more filling. If you don't have that it's okay since there will be coconut flakes in the recipe but if that's not enough you can use a little bit of coconut extract. Or instead of milk you can use coconut milk if you're lactose intolerant. That will definitely give you that coconut flavor. Without the milk, eggs and protein powder this recipe can easily be made vegan with a few substitutes.

Salmon Cakes
Hello my little lovelies! So today I have a recipe for you that just came to me when I was experimenting with some leftovers. I was also curious to do a recipe like this since I was venturing out to cooking new things and honestly it turned out to be a success. I am also trying to be a little healthier since I’m not getting any younger and I need to start taking better care of myself. Because this is a fish recipe, I highly recommend squeezing some lemon over it or adding fresh lemon juice to the mixture. And because salmon is an oily fish there’s no need to use any type of oil with this.

I'm Fine With My Body
I've never really been one to call myself skinny. Ever since I was a kid I've always had a little bit of meat on my bones and I was perfectly okay with it. Unfortunately I was the only one. I grew up in a culture where as a child and as a young adult you are supposed to look a certain way and be a certain weight. Now if you were a little on the older side, it was okay to have some weight to you. But as a child I was always nitpicked at how chunky I was. I felt ugly, unloved and an outcast all because I was a chunky kid.
