Chapter 2: Jasper & Sunny
Chapter Two: Nostalgia Sunny drank coffee on the small balcony of her room. She took in the view of the river, which was partially iced over. She’d just gotten off the phone with her cousin Kim and they squealed together as she told her to story of meeting Jasper. It brought her back to their many sleepovers where they’d spend hours listening to the music of The Boys Around Town.

Another 'No'
I had my drink ready, hard apple cider that tastes like wine. I put it next to the test because I just knew. Now obviously I’m not trying to put negative thoughts out there, I have been wanting to have a baby for a very long time but every month it’s the same thing. That ‘yes’ that we got last year went away and everyone forgot about it but me and my husband. Ever since then I have been waiting for the ‘yes’ or the + or the double lines and it is always ’no’, negative, one line. I did wait a few days, been taking tests all week but this ‘no’ from today was it for me.

The Memory of Flowers: Chapter 1-Interior Design
Mrs. Landon was in love with her new living room, the potted plants, the fluffy throw blanket over her chair; the accents were impeccable. She wasn't entirely sure who the decorator was but if she ever ran into him again, she would surely thank him. In fact, as she sat back marveling at his handiwork she decided to see if he was still in the hallway; perhaps she could catch him.

Marigolds…
Brandon couldn’t get to the cemetery fast enough. The day had gotten away from him, with work and the drama with Eunice. All he wanted to do was put it all behind him and get there in once piece. But it wouldn’t be easy because the hurricane headed their way was creating gridlock on the highway.
