When scrolling through Instagram and Twitter, the common user probably notices how oversaturated the platforms are with celebrity and professionally made content. As a small creator of photography, music, and writing I find posting my homemade content exhausting because it all seems hopeless. With the platforms being so large, the little guys are having to compete against professional brands and celebrities who have larger budgets and more time set aside to create. This daunting challenge did not turn away Kimberlie Douglas who is a model and photographer.

One of the first signs that you are a witch or psychic is having very vivid dreams. The next sign is realizing that they are coming true or sending you messages for your waking life. Dream interpretation is a big part of witchcraft, especially in the beginning. Psychoanalyst Sigmund Freud once said, “The dream is the (disguised) fulfillment of a (suppressed, repressed) wish.” It is our job to figure out what these wishes are and listen to our dreams as they show us how to get closer to what we want.

Let's Talk Crystals
Crystals are one of the most popular tools in witchcraft because they are versatile, powerful, and pretty duhhh. But what makes something a crystal and not just a rock you found on the ground the other day? By definition a crystal is, “a piece of a homogeneous solid substance having a natural geometrically regular form with symmetrically arranged plane faces.” What this means is that the molecular structure is geometric and it has faces whereas a rock does not have to be geometric and this causes it to weather easily.
Let's Talk Tarot
Tarot is one of the most used forms of divination because it is a very accessible way to learn how to be psychic. Because of the growing New Age movement tarot cards are sold at most bookstores and there are so many different ones online. But what is tarot? By definition tarot is, “playing cards, traditionally a pack of 78 with five suits, used for fortune-telling and (especially in Europe) in certain games. The suits are typically swords, cups, coins (or pentacles), batons (or wands).” Also before I proceed further, something that I didn’t know when I first learned tarot was how to pronounce it. Just so you know it rhymes with sparrow, not carrot.
How to Ritual
So you have gone through the awakening or maybe witchcraft has just peaked your interest and you want to try your first ritual. Even if you’re just doing it for fun (it should be fun) there are a few things that I would suggest you do.
My Take on Ouija Boards
Ouija boards are a controversial topic in the witch/psychic community. I feel like most people think they are and I have to agree with them. Ouija boards are a little different than most tools because they are not used to communicate with the higher self and possibly guides but rather for all entities. Are there safer ways to use one? Yes. Would I suggest it? No.
