Conscience vs Crusade
Conscience vs Crusade (which wolf do you feed?) by the ADHD Accountant – Krid There are many a villain who’s origins are ascribed the phrase: “the road to hell is paved with the best of intentions.” “They just went too far,” others say. My partner has told me on occasion that I have said something that was “over the line.” In other words, inappropriate. How do you know when it is too far? Where is the line? How do you prevent yourself from crossing it?

A Letter of Intent
Letter of Intent (that was never sent) by: the ADHD Accountant - Krid A take to provide some material for my partner, and to remind her how I see her. Obviously this does not meet her school's format and requirements. Of which, in my opinion, are neither sufficiently clear nor informed by an adequate example. Post graduate work shouldn't be guesswork as to what format you are looking for. So, I just wrote some stuff off the cuff (and from the heart) to cheer her up. If some of this meagre prose is useful then great.

we ate like kings
We ate like kings (all around the world) by: the ADHD Accountant – Krid 200 years ago people had a staple diet. That means boring. They ate the same thing day in and a day out and for breakfast, for lunch, and for dinner. Famine was prevalent. Malnutrition. Scurvy. In some places today the challenges from droughts, floods, fire, and pests can decimate crops and challenge survival. Be grateful.

we all fall down
we all fall down (we don't all have something to rise for By: The ADHD Accountant – Krid The ruins were good, and bad. They were good because they had endured. They provided shelter and structure even after all of this time and, for many, reminded them of the good old days. They were bad because they were a beacon for the less benign, and because they really didn’t know when they would fail.

stories for bed
Stories for bed (lay down your head) By: the ADHD Accountant – Krid What is your bed time ritual? As you can imagine, having ADHD does not always lend itself to going to sleep. Having a well of energy is great. Having erratic sleep routine is not. And, Man cannot survive on four hours of sleep. At least I can’t. Anymore.

Members Only
Members Only (if only people would pay for that…) by: The ADHD Accountant – Krid Mark Twain said “Find a job you enjoy doing, and you will never have to work a day in your life.” We all know that this is hyperbolic, there are always some parts of a job that are tedious or less pleasant, but there is certainly enough truth in it.

I don't think we're in Kansas anymore
I don’t think we’re in Kansas anymore (a country boy in a city club) by the ADHD Accountant – Krid Small towns and big dreams are lyrics to a lot of songs. To be fair I moved out of a small town into a good sized city years ago, and am happily planning on moving back to a small town. In between all kinds of new experiences and crazy culture shocks have occurred.

truly criminal
truly criminal (these things do not “just happen”) by the ADHD Accountant – Krid I have enjoyed the Phantom of the Opera since I was a child. Part of it may have been the exclusion by my Nana who took all of the family except my sister and I, the youngest. She was confident that we, as mere children, could not, would not, be able to appreciate the experience.

We All Serve
We all serve (which wolf do you feed) by the ADHD Accountant – Krid There are many things that we can do day-to-day that can bring pleasure, however fleeting. Those things that are ultimately only self-gratifying are often the most fleeting, and the easiest to achieve. Now I am not a psychologist, or anything more than an armchair theologian and philosopher. Everything that I am talking about is apocryphal or anecdotal. I admit to all manner of bias and that there are filters to my perception. Yet, having said that, I think that I have some kernel of an idea of a truth.

Who's who in the zoo
Who’s who in the zoo (is it me, or is it you) by the ADHD Accountant Years ago I read a book, though not particularly relevant it was one of the Ender books by Orson Scott Card, and part of the story was about how a fence can be keeping people in, or keeping out, and that it can often be a matter of perception.

Gemini
Gemini (a tale of duality) by the ADHD Accountant – Krid 2021 05 Gemini are The Twins and are all about duality, both in opposites and in synchronicity. While this may sound like opposite forces are conspiring to pull them in different directions, and to fall in line with their friends and family that is an unfair attribution. Gemini are actually deeply empathetic and creative individuals who are often challenged between supporting others and expressing themselves.
