What are Cannabinoids?
Cannabinoids are the active chemicals found in the Cannabis Sativa plant. While THC is the chemical that many are familiar with, cannabis is a very diverse plant. There are dozens of cannabinoids present in cannabis as well as hundreds of non-cannabinoid compounds. Many of these compounds have therapeutic potential. Prohibition has held back research for decades, but with legalization allowing better access to research in many places we are learning more than we ever have about the plant. That being said, there are some major cannabinoids that are more commonly present in cannabis that we can focus on.

These are people of color who were murdered by police recently. This list goes on. This list is just the people we know about. There are countless that we have never heard of that have been brushed under the rug to protect law enforcement.

Bourbon County Brand Stout
Today, I have a treat for you all. This is a limited release stout that Goose Island releases every year on Black Friday. I was fortunate enough to live near a B & B that was releasing this rare brew. If this tells you something about the demand for this beer, the line was out the door, and this was not a small B & B. This place is the size of a warehouse and craft beer lovers were lined up out the door to buy this beer at $12.99 per bottle. I don't know about you, but it isn't every day that I buy a bottle of beer at that price. After all, I'm a freelance writer and not writing for the Times, so I'm not exactly raking it in. That being said, considering what little money I have, it was still worth the buy. This year, Goose Island released seven variants of their bourbon county stout and I was able to purchase four of those variants. Now, time to get down to the beer.

Hillary 2020? I'd Rather Not
Earlier this week, it was reported by two of Hillary Clinton's former campaign advisors that a 2020 run would be likely. While there has been no official statement from Clinton, she has not denied the possibility of a presidential run in 2020. Today I would like to objectively discuss why this could be disastrous for the democratic party. To be clear, I am not saying that Hillary Clinton will definitely run in 2020, but that if she does, it could be the worst choice for a candidate the Democratic Party could make. In short, Hillary 2020 is a bad idea because first off, she lost to Donald Trump in 2016. It should have been an easy path to the presidency, but it absolutely was not. This is because her brand of politics just is not what the people are looking for anymore on either side of the aisle. Hillary Clinton represents what many people despise about American politics. For many, she is the lack of real change that has persisted for so many years. Finally, by running in 2020, she would be stepping on the toes of the Democratic party and holding it back for at least four years.

A Booming Economy: A Word of Caution
The United States economy seems to be in a period of prosperity. Our economy is booming, but there may be problems around the corner The United States Economy is expanding too fast for its own good. This is because the economy is at full employment, inflation is starting to rise, gross domestic product is growing at an alarming rate, and investors have been bullish for too long and are starting to worry about the impending consequences. The Trump administration has pushed the economy too far by introducing extremely aggressive tax strategies. It is only a matter of time before Washington’s greed catches up to them and we enter another economic downturn. It is of utmost importance that we pay attention to these issues at hand. We have to write to our congressmen, get out to vote, and overall, make sure the economic future of our country is in good hands.
