The Fall of the Throne
We have arrived at the end of a series that has been a part of us since 2011. 73 episodes. We witnessed the demise of characters that were dear to us and we cheered when others met a justifiable, brutal end. Yes, as fans of Game of Thrones (GoT), we were emotionally invested in the final season. Was it perfect? No. I don't think I have seen anyone state, "You know, I'm perfectly fine with the events that unfolded for the characters that made it to the final season." However, I have never seen this kind of outrage from certain people. I've seen that ridiculous petition that wanted the final season to be rewritten and filmed to the way that the "fans" wanted. I am curious, though, out of the thousands upon thousands that signed it, who gets to decide what the "proper" end is? I have seen the virtue signalers stating that the show wasn't diverse enough and that HBO should be ashamed.
