Choose Your Attitude
There are too many variables in our world today. I can't even begin to state the amount of things that are out of our control. We can wake up one morning and realize that we have been betrayed. We can wake up one morning to find that everything we have worked for have been wiped away. We can come out of our rooms to see that the sunny day we planned and already invested to spend at the beach has grown cloudy. Someone can shit at us or snap at us or cuss us for absolutely no reason and not even apologize. We can find ourselves at the butt of a not so funny joke. We can wake up one day to the price of PMS going from ₦167.00 to ₦500.00, or some other government policy that completely scatters the plan we once had. (Oh! That already happened, didn't it?)

Superman, fly
Let's poke your imagination a little bit. Imagine a world where Clerk Kent never found out that he could fly, or where Albert Einstein never found out that he could use his megabrain to solve problems in physics that effectively changed our world. Imagine a world where Martin Luther King Jr. didn't discover that he had a powerful, commanding oratory that tangibly communicated a dream that changed the world. Imagine how stuck we will be, far back in the 16th century, had the Wright brothers not found their passion and followed their dream of making people fly, or Henry Ford didn't discover the art of manufacturing cars in large quantities and for the common man.

Come to the Front Porch
I told of an analogy yesterday at the Book Club about perspectives. Picture 5 different people and one big building. These five people have been positioned in 5 different parts of the building, and have been asked to describe what they see, say, in a drawing. After five hours, they all submitted what they have drawn, and alas, they drew completely different things.
