It was never the clothes

Pain , betrayal and healing

# scars

it was never clothes

As if fabric could whisper evil

As if innocence has a dress code

They never knew the devil

Found a young fragile flower

Who didn't yet understand

What preciousnes it held

Some said it was the body

Never knowing we trusted the word

" Safety"

A word that turned into a weapon

Cutting deep into the soul

Leaving wounds that will never heal

Some said I was crazy

Because truth cuts deeper

Than silence could

So they turned into written script

Easier to digest

Easier to ignore

But not every house is a home

Some are only structure

Hiding behind the word " safety"

And silence watched innocence suffer

The brave call it "crime"

Still they say it was the clothes

It was never the clothes

It was never the body

I was the victim

I was trust in the "safety"

A disguise for harm it self

Bringing storm to young fragile flower

It was never the clothes

It was the body

Just a devil hiding

Behind the word " safety"
