It’s hard to realize how far you’ve gone underwater; waves fall over you, and the water stills your raging mind, that you're almost eager for the Sea to swallow you deeper.
By the time you see how deep you are, you struggle to swim up to the surface. Pressure weighs down, air runs out, and your body and mind won’t listen to one another. You’re stuck between giving your all to swim and letting the Ocean take you; it’s a decision that you believe is quiet. Just yours. But the Sea hears you.
She could've come before you began to drown, but then you wouldn’t have seen why you were drowning to begin with.
At the last moment, before you surrender to the waves, she sends a light to guide you back. It’s your decision whether to follow the whale, in all her wisdom, back up to the surface and breach the waves that pulled you down.
Though the under the waves, you found a rest. The muddy voices ripping you a part, from your heart to your soul finally went silent. Your hands no longer wanted to claw at your face every time you wished you were better.
Down in the waves, you could pretend that your inner world isn't collapsing, isn't breaking under all the what if's, should've done, and regretful woes.
And you'll go down deeper, become one with the waves, the silence. But your hand reaches out for the whale, a being your body instinctively knows, because, just maybe, she and the Sea will guide you to ease the voices on your own.
