Authentic Art ๐๐๐๐ in the world
Introduction to the World of Art
Art is a diverse and dynamic realm that encompasses a wide range of creative expressions. From ancient cave paintings to contemporary installations, art serves as a reflection of culture, emotions, and individual perspectives. In this brief exploration, we'll touch upon various aspects of art, including its historical evolution, major movements, influential artists, and the ever-evolving nature of artistic expression.
The four-day India Art Fair is underway and features an amazing collection of modern artwork. The location has every characteristic of a global art exhibition, including tech-enabled live art classrooms and kiosks showcasing artwork from different generations of artists. Here, we spoke with artists who are exploring new avenues for artistic expression with the aid of technology.
Through their augmented reality-enabled panoramic canvas, their audio-visual artworks, and their original labyrinthine game, these artists are demonstrating how iPads and some handy tools are revolutionizing the aesthetic. The project's subject for this year is "Force of Nature."
"I've made this perfect planet just for India. A world that we desire
Talking about the technology, Prasad said that Procreate on iPad and Apple Pencil, aligned with her MacBook Pro make it perfect for any artist. From ideation to the final work, it took Prasad nearly two months. โIt is very detailed and I wanted to cover every aspect of all the practices we do today really well,โ quipped Prasad. Her work โI will be backโ, requires users to hold and pan an iPad in front of the mural to witness the future dissolve into another. One can see the intricate details and the thoughtfully placed elements in the artwork upon closely panning the iPad.
Interactive fiction with gaming
Artist and writer Dhruv Janiโs video game installation, โIt Takes A Long Time To Grow A Mountainโ, explores the subterranean quest to discover the seed that gave rise to the Western Ghats mountain range. The game, developed using a MacBook Pro with M3 Max, delves into a local myth involving a manโs search for water awakening gods beneath the earth, leading to the creation of the Western Ghats.
Jani, who is the founder of Studio Oleomingus, draws inspiration from the theme โForces of Natureโ to examine geological time and human influence on natural processes. The project involves poetry, fables, and intricate 3D modeling, created using tools like Substance and SketchUp. โWe typically work with interactive fiction and its intersection with post-colonial writing. We are deeply interested in stories that emerge from borders, identities and geological processes. The game is set within these questions or explorations,โ said Jani who draws inspiration from celebrated Indian poet late Arun Kolatkar.
Along with the interactive game, viewers can also hear audio stories. According to Jani, each story talks about the conflation of faith and geology and our attempts to corral as forces that we can barely control.
Pereira, a musician and multidisciplinary artist, works with Shinde, a visual artist who draws inspiration from people and locations, to create interactive soundscapes. Through a straightforward arrangement of an iPad Pro, a projection screen, and speakers, the installation emphasizes the loss in bird populations by allowing viewers to watch Shinde's artworks that are specific to a given place while also experiencing the shifting sounds of birds between 2008 and 2022.
"Ornithoscope honors the nation's diverse avian ecosystem while drawing attention to the rate at which these species are disappearing as a result of urbanization, deforestation, and climate change," according to Myles. Over the course of fifteen years, the artwork has produced the sounds and associated pictures of various bird species according to states. To see and hear, users of the iPad must navigate around the sphere.

Besides, this yearโs digital artists in residence will showcase their work at the Digital Residency Hub within The Studio, leading Today at Apple sessions from February 1-4 with the theme โForces of Natureโ. Attendees can collaborate on interactive pieces, understand the creative processes, and design visuals inspired by bird sounds using iPad and Apple Pencil. Interactive workshops and sessions for all ages aim to enhance creativity with Apple devices, celebrating the 15th anniversary of the India Art Fair.
elcome to the inaugural Artsy Art Fair Report, a new survey of the key trends and topics impacting art fairs today.
Since Rudolf Zwirner and Hein Stรผnke first launched Art Cologne in 1967, art fairs have become an ubiquitous part of the contemporary art market, with more than 350 set to take place in 2024. In todayโs globalized art world, fairs have evolved from trade fairs to bona fide cultural events.
With this reportโthe first of its kindโwe gathered insights from our global community of galleries and art dealers that undergird the commercial art world. To get a full picture, we surveyed gallerists and dealers who do participate in art fairs and those who do not.
What we found, in short, is that art fairs continue to be a central plank of the art world. Some 69% of the gallerists that we surveyed participate in art fairs, and those that do champion their role as a way to meet new collectors, and increase the presence of their gallery: Some 75% of those surveyed that participated in an art fair in 2023 said that they gained new clients, and 47% described the collectors of artworks at these events as mostly new to their business. Those who are planning to participate in more art fairs this year list expansion into new markets (45%) and increased sales (37%) as their primary motivations for doing so.
Galleries that take part in fairs are also utilizing different sales channels to connect with collectors: 57% of respondents said they use online viewing rooms on platforms such as Artsy, and 54% use the online viewing room platforms provided by art fairs.
This report also looks into the key sales methods of galleries that participate in fairs; the types of artworks that they are selling; and the art fair cities that our respondents view as the most important to the international art world.
