To Be A Vocal Resource

Introduction

Today I wrote something that may become a Vocal Resource if they think it fits the bill. I have one ten-month idea that was taken up by Vocal but because of its age, when it was published, it appeared on Page three of the Vocal Resources "Tips and Guides" which you can check out here.

Then I was thinking about all the Vocal Guides I had written but were not submitted to resources and started thinking maybe I could put them all into drafts and then submit them to Google resources here.

The form is simple to use but you need to wait for a response from Vocal, but you don't know if they have received your submission, though there is a message saying they will be in touch with you in a few days.

As yet I have not used this, so I will update this when I hear about it.

Showing The Way

So many times I show people how to do things and they come back with a variation on "I am so stupid to not know that" and I tell them that they are not stupid, they have just found something new to learn,

There are lots of things that I have learned since joining Vocal and I do love to share things I feel are useful to my Vocal friends and audience in order to make what they do more fulfilling because that's what these things do for me.

I cannot share all the ones I intend to submit as Vocal Resources because I cannot be certain where they will sit once they are published. Vocal may decide that they don't fit their model in which case I will republish, however, the search below will give you a page of my Vocal tips on various subjects.

And Some Extras As Well

When I got the idea for this piece, I started and then thought I was going to write a piece about Vocal stories that I can't actually share with anyone because I intend to move them all to drafts. What a great idea to start writing about something and then realise that you can't really write about it. When that hit me I had written about fifty words, and, yes I could have just ditched this, but then saw it as another challenge.

I think I have actually succeeded but I am going to share some of my articles and ideas with you which are not specifically Vocal focused but are about tools that can help our creation.

I am one of a group of Admins in The Vocal Social Society and it is an open group, which means that every so often we get targetted by spammers with porn and other nasty posts. Facebook provides us with tools to stop these things which you can see in the Admin section images below.

This is a tip for anyone who has an open group and wants to save time by letting the system deal with spammers. It doesn't catch everything, but it does catch a lot.

This is a list of Vocal articles that I did but is a year old, but a few of those may be moved on if they are chosen for resources. Looking at this it is nothing but a list of links, so you can see how my style has hopefully improved since I created this.

This is a piece aimed at Windows users and the Windows Clipboards saves me so much time on Vocal and at work, it really is probably the most useful tool I have at my disposal.
