So you're on the hunt for the world's largest machinery, huh? Then you've come to the right place. For your amusement, here is a collection of scientific instruments, construction and mining vehicles, as well as other unique surprises.

We're not going to waste any time and will get right to work. Enjoy.

The list below is in no particular order and is far from complete.

1. The Large Hadron Collider is massive in size.

The Large Hadron Collider is the most massive machine that man has ever created. It was created to investigate the tiniest of objects, subatomic particles.

This particle accelerator, with a radius of 27 kilometers and a depth of 175 meters, is located in Geneva, Switzerland. A new, improved version with a four-fold increase in size is in the works.

2. The Giant Bucket Wheel Excavator rips up the ground.

The gigantic Giant Bucket Wheel Excavator, Bagger 293, is the world's second-largest machine. This is a colossus amid colossi. It was constructed in 1995 in Germany.

The entire structure is 96 meters tall and 225 meters long. It also weighs an incredible 14,061 tonnes.

3. Big Bertha makes boring children's play

Bertha is the world's largest tunnel-boring machine. With a total length of 300 feet and a height of five floors, she dwarfs all of her opponents.

She's a colossal 7,000-ton machine that needs to be transported from job site to job site. Her 17.5-meter diameter is enormous enough to swallow the second-largest borer on the planet.

4. "The Prelude" is the world's largest ship.

"The Prelude's" arrival has pushed "Emma Maersk" into second place as the largest ship. In South Korea, she took to the water for the first time. "The Prelude" is actually a floating natural gas facility rather than a ship.

She's 487 meters long, and if set side by side with the Empire State Building, "The Prelude" would be 45 meters taller. She weighs 600,000 tons when completely loaded.

5. According to reports, the world's largest remote-controlled robot is a dragon.

Yes, we're having a conversation now. For six years, Zollner Elektronik AG in Germany worked for six years with a 15-person team to create the world's largest remote-controlled robot.

The dragon was created to take the place of Germany's favorite play, "Drachenstich," which featured a mechanical star.4.5 meters tall, weighs 11 tons, and breathes fire.

6. This might just be the world's biggest motorcycle.

This massive bike, designed by Fabio Reggiani, reaches 5 meters tall and weighs 5.5 tons. With a length of 91 meters, this is the world's largest two-wheeled vehicle.

It also has a 5,000 cc, 5.7-liter V8 Chevrolet engine with a 3-speed transmission and unusually long grips. Nice.

7. Meet the world's largest aircraft, the Stratolaunch

Before his untimely death in 2018, Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen disclosed the Stratolaunch. The wingspan of this beast is 117 meters, and it weighs 580 tons.

To get off the ground, she'll require a total of six engines. Her name comes from the fact that she was built to launch rockets into orbit from the air. What a lovely lady.

8. Using the Belaz 75710, you can dump in style.

Yes, of course. This item on our list of the world's largest machinery is a true behemoth. The Belaz 75710, powered by a hybrid-diesel engine, was designed to do one thing and one thing only: move a lot of dirt and rubble.

The beast's two sixteen-cylinder engines provide 13,738 pounds of torque. That's more than seventeen heavy-duty pickup trucks put together. Wow.

9. The Overburden Conveyor Bridge F60 is a serious piece of equipment.

This monstrosity is the world's largest conveyor bridge. Her entire building is breathtaking, being 502 meters long, 202 meters wide, and 80 meters tall. Its mass is estimated to be around 11,000 tons.

VEB TAKRAF Lauchhammer produced this beast in East Germany in 1991.

10. FAST is the world's biggest telescope.

The FAST (Five Hundred Meter Aperture Spherical Telescope) is a radio telescope in China. She is a radio telescope in Pingtung County, SW China, amid the Dawodang depression.
