Screams

Nobody can hear a scream in the vacuum of space, or so they say. Their mouths' opened, though nothing comes out. It was as if they were left in a turbulent struggle with themselves. Constantly turning over in their graves. A spitting image of what was to become, if they did not leave the sanctuary.

They had been their since time immemorial. A ravaging echo of the chaos that they had to endure. It rippled through the space of a thousand words. And came back just as empty. A narrow escape, spelled - E.S.C.A.P.E. Capping through the atmosphere.

I pray that you will never have to feel the way that they are feeling. Trapped and tortured beyond reprieve.

They had to stay behind. Or they would be eaten by their own misery. Crawling forever through a mask that was hard to find. And amidst all of this chaos, there was still hope. Hope that the vacuum of space would dry up their insanity. And let them control what they could not manage for themselves.

Their favorite blankets covered them from head to toe. Allowing them to drift off to an unpleasant sleep. They could not escape, even in the paradise of the dream world. This stood out, and they were very displeased. Everything was designed to pass through to play along with the tapestry of life.

The land that they tried to sleep on was an ancient burial ground. The past accomplices haunting them and giving them hell on space. The torturing accomplishment of a thousand voices. Later they would tell their kin. And let them know that this was not what they had hoped for.

Harry and Jan were the first to go. To go and party in the land of the dead. They were pretty sure that they were there and could not escape the torture of leaving their friends behind. I will be in when I finish this story, to continue to do my chores. And perish in another fire called life.

Friendship was hard to come by, where they were. It shattered your psyche and left you in the dust. A dust that would not wash off...

This dust was powerful, it choked you silently. And crept through the cracks of love. It was something that you wished was always there. It magnified itself a thousand fold. Would not culture through a society that is wind-blown to begin with. Hurry, and you just might miss it. Come with me and I will show you how to elude it.

They came to infest the minds of the critics. It was a natural selection that was never to be replaced by sarcasm. It was mind-blowing in its natural state. Of course you could not see it come forth. It would attack you sideways and leave you misplaced.

Charlie hated Harry beyond recognition. He was always mumbling something that no-one but himself could hear. It was very annoying. To Charlie at least. Jan on the other hand was a total angel when it came to everything else. She could tell when Charlie was being an asshole. That happened frequently. I am sorry you are sick, but please do not abuse that priviledge. You do not need to act like you are 5 years old. It what she was thinking when Charlie acted that way.

The parallel universe they created was far from home. It was a cataclysmic disaster. One that was not filled otherwise. The matches would burn their outlet in a matter of minutes.

And sometimes it was not worth the reprieve that they were trying to create on their own terms.
